Thrasher wrote something in another thread abouth the Semovar and as I read it, I agreed with every word. I could not have stated all of these things as well as he did. I thought it would be good to put here for folks that havent tried one. I dont think he would mind me pasting this here.

lol you make me laugh.

anyways. imagine having the accuracy of the provari with the same, if not even smoother signal, with the added benefit of the VW everyone wishes the provari had.

now add a slightly more elegant and sleeker package that offers the different size battery tubes (if you want them) without 3rd party unmatching rings and adapters, no matter what you use it still looks sleek.

then the topcap is removable and the 510 pin is adjustable so you can always flush mount everything while still getting a good connection.
and the top cap is even with the mod and atty, no reason to buy a separate ring, there are also several different size heads available 14mm and 17mm.
the bottom cap is gold plated and fully adjustable so just about any battery works, not too loose not to tight..

now stuff all that into a tube that has the feel of old fashion Russian style industrial strength engineering.

the whole thing is very modular, there is a mechanical side and bottom buttons coming as well if you want to use the tubes for a mech later on.

you can even customize the LED and button light, adjusting screen brightness or even if the screen, the button, or both come on or stay off when the battery is pressed, it also has 2 separate menus one when on and one when off, with several functions.

I know it's just a steel tube but to actually hold it it drips style and class and you can easily tell this wasnt slapped together in some Chinese sweatshop.
it had its share of problems in the beginning but as soon as any problem appears they stop production and fix the bug, comes with a 1 year warranty also.

The head guy came out and said he want this to be the best mod you can buy and any amount of bad units is too many, and wants everyone to know Svoe Mesto will stand behind their products. 2 years of kayfuns have proven SM can make quality stuff and this is actually the 3rd revision of the semovar, very popular in EU and finally gaining traction in the US.

I know its blasphemy to some, but in my opinion at this time the only thing provape has over the semovar is how soon you will get it back if it needs service.

Back on topic. My wife just got me the ProVari stealth mini. I still think there's a place for both the ProVari and the Semovar.. imo the ProVari is more of a beater while the Semovar is more special. I don't take the Semovar out as much. When I'm traveling I take my ProVari mini, had this mini for over two years now, never cleaned it & works like a champ.

Having said all that, my next purchase is a Kayfun 3.1 brushed + hybrid adaptor. Then at some point the Mech switch.

Happy vaping

I don't take mine out either. Not really sure how the Nivel and its display will react to water.

Don't let the Provarinatti hear you call the ProVari a beater :) You would probably improve the battery life if you clean the threads.

Well, I ordered one for my Xmas treat, should be here in a few days. :D

Very good choice! I've only had mine for about 2 weeks and I can't be happier. I'm very anxiously waiting for the bottom switch to be available. I've already ordered a spare 350 tube and top cap, now just waiting for the switch.

I like the size of the VTR so I am hoping the Sticker will give me that with my Semo.

Well, after babying my Semovar for a couple months... I started using it all of the time and taking it with me everywhere since getting hooked on this thing with the hybrid adapter and the 3.1

I had had it slam down from my lap to a smooth tile floor on about 4 occasions...breaking plastic drip tips....and not a scratch on it.

Well, last night, I had it in my lap in my truck and jumped out of the truck and it flew across the parking lot and scratched the hell out of it.

While it made me sad that I finally got deep scratches on it...It made me happy that I could comfortably put it in that "Provari" and "Mech Mod" catagory as far as durability.......so far :toast:

Terrible that you scratched it, but at least now you don't have to worry about babying it

Yeah .... Aint that the truth !! Its like that "New car Syndrom".

So, I guess that make the Semovar my "beater" :p and my Provari's are .......well, they are still good ol ProVari's ...... but my beater sure does vape good !!

To be honest with a plain steel "industrial" type design the scratches aren't so bad, I would be sadder if I had scratched the paint job on a Provari.

That's why I jwrap my semovar. Adds a little layer of protection.
