There are a couple of metal paints too, silver and copper on amazon.

You could always try Noalox which is conductive, and that might help... apply to all the threads, thats at home depot for like $4 or something.... Noalox helps a lot with mechs and voltage drop, and I've used it on the threads of my vw devices, and it does help....seriously.

Painting the sticker might make me like it a bit better. Maybe racing stripes.

But the problem is that the sticker does not like me. It has too many parts. Months, and months ago, I gave it a good clean, and it behaved for a few days. Then, went back to bad behavior. That's how I cracked my yeller windr.

All the same, been in sticker mode for a the last week or so. Getting most of a full day (24 vape minutes or so) on gray Panasonics.

I would imagine the "problem" with the sticker is too many threaded connections... every threading is a source of voltage loss as I understand it. I would imagine copper tape on the threading would help, its gonna be a female dog to tape all those threads, thats why I think some conductive coating would improve it overall. The only ones I know of are the Noalox (noalax?) and the copper paint for defogger window repair. It may not do a thing? I dont know.

If it were me, I think replacing that plate with a copper plate would be my first step, and copper being as soft as it is should be pretty easy to make fit with like a tin snips or something. May not look is good but that piece is inside so it really wont matter. Then improving the connectors threading with the copper paint or noalox might help too.

Very surprised Svoemesto didn't put more love into that design process.....?

It was designed by a caveman. It uses countersunk screws to mount that "plate" thingie, but the plate is not countersunk. Amongst other problems. Actually, it looks like it was designed by some dude who just went to Home Depot and came back with a pile of stuff and some tin snips.

Somewhere waaay earlier in this thread, somebody noticed that the sticker needs button top batteries, of which I have none. So I had to swap out one of the screws to a round head to just get the thing to do SOMETHING!

I actually did as you did and swapped out the csk screw for the kayfun fill screw to do some tests for you, the VD was the same from memory then I forgot about it! When I sold the Semo and Sticker I forgot it was in there
never mentioned it to the buyer as I had forgot!

I only have tube mechs now and box mods.
