OP, I own 3 SX mini's and they are great devices but the name Mini isn't real accurate. It's heavy and not what I would consider traveling pocket friendly. I also own some isticks but when I travel they can be a pain because the battery dies at the worst time and you can't simply swap the battery. Personally I went and held a bunch of different devices and the ipv D2 is the smallest of the bunch. It allows you to do a battery swap and doesn't add much weight to your pocket. There are others that probably exist that meet the same standards I just don't own one.....yet.

I've been researching box mods for some time because I'm trying to find something small for the wife. I've gotten her using the istick 40w but frankly the battery life isn't all that great...she gets about 6 hours on VV at 7.5 watts and 1.8 ohms. I'm trying to gently lead her into replaceable battery devices.
Something isn't right about that Grimwald. I have istick 30's (4 of them) and they all last at least 2 days. I would think that the 40's should last at least as long. Granted, I don't use mine exclusively but hubby does with his and I use mine with my all time favorite vanilla custard juice so use it more than any other device. All 4 of them still last us at least 2 days before needing to be recharged. I keep mine set at 7 watts and my coils are 1.8. He keeps his set at 5 watts and the same 1.8 coils.

For the OP. I know it isn't TC but the istick 30 is the only small box type battery I have used so it is actually the only one I can recommend for its size and long battery life. I have the istick 20 too but can't in good faith recommend one of those.

Op obviously has no Experience with Cloupor mini's and/or believes the hestaria of Amatureish people on the interwebs.

Cloupor mini - with exception of a release of approximately 50 units with bad I.C.'s out of several hundred thousand units, the Mini has proven to be a very solid mod and is enjoyed daily by the majority of owners.
It is accurate, has decent battery life and is smaller than any Mod in class with removable battery.
The Mini Plus - TC - stands to be every bit as good and adds several features to the game.
1. Dimensions: 78.5mm x 37mm x 22mm (3.1" x 1.46" x 0.87")
2. Floating 510 pins
3. Stainless steel 510 connector
4. Takes 1x 18650 battery
5. Back cover fixed by magnets
6. Output power: 1W-50W
7. Output voltage: 0.5V—7.0V
8. Joules range:10-50J
9. Mode: VV/VW/TC
10. Standard resistance:0.1-3.5ohm(VV/VW)
11. Joules resistance:0.1-0.5ohms(Ni200), 0.1-0.8ohms(Titanium)
12. Temp Limit: 200-600 Fareheit / 100-300 Celsius
13. Smart-auto Temperature Control
14. One silicone case
15. Charging through standard micro USB port or by removing battery and charging separately
16. NO PWM, uses independent step up/down circuit design
17. Multi-hole for Ventilation
18. Optional left & right hand Mode
19. Reverse battery polarity protection
20. Over-charge protection
21. 5 colors available: black, white ,pink, dark orange, dark blue

The IPV D2 is the smallest TC device right now. It is very slightly smaller than the Evic-VTC mini. The Koopor Mini is slightly larger than the D2 (and heavier) but it's cheaper, going for around $30.

If a small size and light weight is your main concern, then definitely get the D2. The TC on it works fine. Or get the Evic VTC Mini-- both are a good choice.

Dont know if this will sway your decision but I own the sx mini m class and with the newer (couple months old now) software update it now goes up to 75w with a single 18650. The update also allows a setting for ti temp control. Once last feature is an eco mode that'll help with battery consumption (cant not verify that as I haven't really messed with the eco mode).

Heres a good size comparison of the SX Mini. Please nobody shoot me for posting a pack of cigarettes.

My sig 75w tc is nice and small. It's my go mod for when not at home. The battery life could be better but easy swapping out old batteries. They are coming out with a new sig 75w plus soon think it will be housing a single 26650 battery witch can get longer life and the mod itself looks smaller and less box like.
