Looking to upgrade from my ego to a Variable Voltage/mid, but they are so big. Almost bought a VAMO, and vaped amazing, just sooo long and wide. The Provari mini looks small but sooo much $$. I'd like to stay with tube instead of box mod, but maybe MVP or VTR is best, but still looking at options for a tube

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your post. I like both but am concerned about both.

The MVP looks and sounds amazing, except I worry that keeping in my pocket with the topper exposed could cause a break.

The VV3 looks great, but the battery life leaves some desiring. My battery now is 900 mah, and that does not last all day.

sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3 and V5 fits 18350, 18490, 18500 and 18650. They are 23mm in diameter and measure 100mm to 127mm in length, depending on battery used. I have two.

These have been looking better and better, but idk if it is just me, but they seem much less popular than say the VAMO and say the Innokin products, that I have been reading great things about. Do you know why that may be?

Popularity is hard to gauge. Most people don't know that two different companies make Zmax: Smok and Sigelei. Two companies, two different production facilities. The one thing they have in common is the Zmax VV/VW chipset. The Sigelei Zmax Telescopics are unlike anything else on the market with their own design, firmware and hardware. The closest comparison is the Innokin SVD but I think the Sigelei V3 and V5 are better designed and made.

Innokin is golden right now in vaping circles. Before that it was Vamo and before that it was Volcano. I don't think Sigelei came onto the US scene until late in 2012.

My kick with both aforementioned Inokins is that they are "throw away" types much like an EGO. I admit a pass through allows you to vape it when it runs out of charge, but I dont like being tied to a wall when my cell phone dies and I use my vape gear all day long unlike my phone.

I also do not like paying MOD prices for something that will die and become trash in 6 months to a year

The sigelei zmax in 18350 mode is about the same height as the Itaste MFP, but not as bulky, you can carry several spare batteries with you and change out as necessary, the same batteries can be used in other mods as you acquire them and you put the battery on the charger and walk away versus put the mod on charge and come back to get a hit now and them.

I admit being able to charge your phone off of your mod might be nice for those addicted to their iphone, but I can go without my phone for an hour or two, I cant go without my vape rig.

What you get is up to you, my local shop sells the heck out of the MVP and at first glance it looks like a good deal but it is not for me.

Nope 18350s are about 850mah max, but you can get several Efest at $5ea and a carrier for another $2 for a total of 2400mah between your pocket and your hand.

Also with the telescope you can get 18650 batteries that do go up to 2500mah but you are adding an inch oor so to the stack up and the batteries do not fit your pocket near as well.

An 18350 button top is 1.4" tall, a flat top 18650 is 2.6" and the sigelei zmax in 18350 mode is 3.9" tall and a bit less than 1" round.

The MVP is about 4.2" tall and about .86" thick and 1.6" wide

Efest IMR 18350 claims to be 850mAh. I have four of them. One lasts me 2-3 hours and I vape about 2.5ml a day. I really believe the Efest IMR 18350 is closer to 750mAh, like the AW IMR 18350.

The battery I use most often is Efest .IMR 18490/18500. Those are 1100mAh and last me six hours. The Sigelei Telescopic V3 is 112mm (4.4") long with 18500. I find that a good pocket sized rig.

I use IMR 18650 2000mAh too, but only at home.

All suggestions listed above are good ones. You will find you adjust to the size of larger mod quite quickly. I really find the Egos and Cig-A-Likes very odd in my hands now. Get a good mod with the features you need. Damn the size full vaping ahead!

Thanks for your post. I like both but am concerned about both.

The VV3 looks great, but the battery life leaves some desiring. My battery now is 900 mah, and that does not last all day.

Never had an issue in my pocket. It is no taller than any other mod. In fact it is shorter than a vv3 and shorter than my Sigelei in 16500 mode.

People make a thing about disposable, but the MVP has a 2600 mAh battery. For most people that is at LEAST two days and sometimes three days. So, lets be conservative and say two days. Two days x 300 charge cycles is 600 days. Almost 1.5 years is not bad. And that's a conservative estimate.

The Sigelei Zmax is nice, but it has issues. First of all, if you over tighten the telescoping peices you can dislodge the control board and cause it to tilt and dislodge the button.

Also, I've had mine for about 3 weeks and already noticed some misfires and I read up on it before buying it here and never over tightened it. It's a great mod, but it's not build to last, despite it being made of stainless steel.

There are very few zmax or vamos for that matter that are still kicking at the 1.5 year point.

I mean seriously. If you are looking 1.5 years down the road, then you really ought to buy that one that Starts with P and ends with roVari......

But if that's not in the cards, I think the MVP 2 is the best hands down. They are convenient, you don't need to pack around extra batteries. When you leave the house with a topped off MVP you know it will last all day long. And if you don't. Charge it on the way there or back through the phone charger you probably already have in your car.....No batteries to heft around in your pocket....ugh.

I have a ProVari... It stays at home. I have TWO MVP's. They are literally my daily drivers...

I am tired of wasting money chasing windmills. My MVP just works and works well. It is heavier than an ego. I am afraid of breaking it on the job. Don't like the feel in my pocket. I bought a cheap mod and by the time I put an 18350 in it and a tank, it is almost as heavy. Then I have to safely carry another 18350 in my pocket (currently a plastic prescription pill bottle) which ends up the same bulk in my pocket. Both batteries will last about a shift so I carry an ego battery as backup for overtime (and a dashboard charger setup). This week I have been tossing all of the above into my small lunch tote. The MVP just works so well for 2 days and then I charge it when I go to bed. I am going to wait until I can afford a real VV VW tube before I spend any more money. Hopefully a lightweight.

I wonder how long the 18350s and charger will live and will the MVP pack last longer?
