PBusardo has a (quite lengthy) video where he checks the output of the M80 vs what it should be and it falls quite short every time, except at super low wattage. I've noticed this coming from the M80 and going to a Sigeli 150 myself. I was never crazy about the SMOK line of mods. Especially with the broken temp control on the xPro M80+.

I have his box mod it serves its purpose it goes up to gay it goes up to 80 watts which is phenomenal for a very affordable internal battery cheap alternative to some of the other box mods of similar price range however it does not compete with the X cube to which is supposed to be so much better and I have had a lot of issues with the app why they call it the VEC it is an Android app and a iPhone app which I still have not been able to connect my device to and have not been able to customize it in any way shape or form however it works well it is a very reliable device it's cheaply made I'm mostly purchased it because of the price and the amount of water it comes with it also has decent well now it has temperature control and I heard it's not so great but it's still going down in price is available for about $45 now and yeah it has low power because I tried the smoke TFV before it supposed to run at between 40 and 140 Watts this particular coil core and it would not fire at 79 Watts it would just not work and that is bizarre I would skip it I would skip the entire XQ smoke box mod catalog and just buy the tank because the tank is the greatest thing that has come out this year unfortunately there box mods are for the birds ignore the price yes they are cheap but so are others you're only getting 80 watts in this case look at in 120 watts mod and compare the price you'll see the light

Don't buy the M80. This mod was released right before the big temp mod frenzy happened. Now you have so many better mods for the same price to choose from and with real temp control. The only thing I like is that the m80 has this kanthal temp control limiting thing it does which i really like. I get no dry hits with kanthal. If Smok fixes the temp control on the m80 it could be one of the best mods for its price. I like the tail blue screen, and how the menu works

It's cheap feeling plastic buttons and poor TC features do make it a dud. I don't recommend the X Cube II either, however. The Snow Wolf 1.5 Limited is still around all over including the Asmodus official site, I love it and hope it doesn't crap out. I'm looking at the Segelei 200W Facuchi or however it's spelled. It's probably flawless and is available for preorder in all colors for delivery in couple weeks or so. $69.99. This is the model without the full color front screen. That one is 120 bucks, but I don't know exactly what it does. Between the IPV models, Sigelei's and Snow Wolf 1.5's, I don't think the M80 is even worth it because these others are so cheap. Just that they need double 18650 batteries, which is probably the best.
