Brief summery, I am researching to purchse first mech, and finally decide for smok Magnetto II. My thoughts are it's not a clone, better quality, name brand, blah blah blah

After the first few uses of my rba's and kayfun I find the problem. Only the Kayfun consistently hits and makes contact. The other two, Smoke Catapillar and IGO-W, will not make contact. The Magnetto II I thought had a floating pin, plus an adjustable pin, but no adjustment and afte first few fires, the floating stoped and just sat at the bottom, which only would fire the Kayfun.

I call Madvapes (purchased there, great cust service), and I am told to send the mech back, but then I am without so instead they send copper adjustable EGO top cap. For now, would be great so I'm pumped to use and......bam!!!! Nothing even after adjusting the pin, which I can only lower bc it's set at the highest position.

Ok, so maybe it's me.
I go to my B&M, Love Vape in South Philly. (Amazing guys) and they are also at a loss. Simply will not make contact.
Furthermore, they give a K100 to try and not only so my two RBA's work great, but my Kayfun is now hitting at a level it NEVER has on my Magnetto II.
Shane from Love Vape even gives me a K100 to use untill my situation is resolved.

So basically this is a rant. I've done many searches prior to my purchase but saw only minimal complaints and YouTube vid's like Riptrippers LOVES LOVES his Magnetto.

So tomorrow I will call MadVapes, thank them for the top cap they sent me, but ask for a refund or possibly switch mod's and I'll pay the difference.
Looking over the site with B&M guys, for the same price I was told to pick up the EHPro Nemesis, and I have also read many many more reviews (mostly positive) about this mod. The Nemesis was my 2nd choice actually.

Sooooo, I guess Id ask if anyone has similiar experience with this mod or any mod with the same problem.

Also, if you could give a recommendation for another mech in the $40-50 range, ORRRR I may just say F IT and buy what I wanna buy, a 35 or 50w box mod, like the IPV 1 or 2

Hopefully this isn't too long and I'll get some response!!! LoL

The Magneto was my first mech mod and I never had a problem with the floating pin however the voltage drop has always been pretty bad. I've taken the switch apart more than once to clean and sand the contacts and it still hits worse than my other mods.

Based on Twisted420's recent YT post I would recommend looking at Beyond Vape's Beacon mech mod. It's an original mod, not a clone, and Twisted claims a very low voltage drop. The bonus it's only $65 on their site.
