So, I've been a big fan of SMOK products for quite some time now and have gladly handed over my hard earned money to them for their vaping gear. But over the past year or so I've become not so found of their products and/or customer service.

Paint Job: Simply put, their paint is HORRIBLE. The absolute worst I have experienced in vaping hardware ever. From box mods to tanks their paint is worthless. Examples? Sure! I had a brand new G320 Marshall box mod which I had for about 1 month when a large section of paint pealed off the side of it. Example 2: I purchased a red Prince tank. Opened the box, washed it and immediately paint start chipping away from the top section. The only paint jobs from SMOK that hold up at all is the Stainless and Rainbow. (Those aren't painted)

Customer Service: The same G320 Marshall that I mentioned above quite on me after a couple of months of use. An odd burning smell was coming from the inside of the mod. I returned it for RMA repairs. It took 5 MONTHS for me to get a replacement! 5 MONTHS!!!!! WTF???? I even took the time to contact their USA support team and received NO response at all. Not even a "hello" and some stupid generic response. NO response at all. What a joke!

I've been vaping for about 11 years now and have gone through a lot of tanks, clearo's, mechs and box mods. I say this because I feel like I have enough experience in the hardware side of things to know when something is crap or just a bad one off. I hate to say it....but SMOK products have become CRAP. The sad part is I really like their tanks. But how can you sell vape products with paint jobs that are junk? I have a Sense Blazer Pro with blue paint and it doesn't even have a scratch on it after 3 months use AND being cleaned regularly through a sonic cleaner. I have a Sigelei Fuchai Duo-3 box mod that is painted blue and it looks like new after 4 months of use. Even my old Wismec Reuleaux 2/3 held on to its paint admirably.

I don't use the same hardware day in and day out. My tanks and mods get light to medium use over time because I like to switch up each day. SMOK can't even hold it's paint sitting on a counter top!

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for listening (reading)

SMOK is great for those that like to get the "mod of the week", use it for a few weeks and move on, without spending a fortune. If you are wanting to buy 1 mod every two years and expect what you buy to last, then yeah, SMOK is NOT the mod you are looking for.

Well my experience with smok products has not been at all what I would consider to be a positive experience, I am genuinely glad for you that you've gotten so much good service from your smok products . As for myself I will never again P away my money on any smok product again.

What were you vaping on about 11 years ago?

My most regrettable purchase of all time is the Priv One. It could be because of the coil it came with, I dunno. but I want to throw it in the trash. I'm not even sure I want to attempt to buy Joytech AIO coils that I know fits in it. If I wanted something like that I should've got the Mi One or something (not that that is anything stellar, either, but it has to be better than this thing).

I've never been a fan of SMOK products, and I've had several unfavorable experiences.

I was gifted a SMOK regulated tube mod a few years ago. It didn't last 6 months. Just died.

A couple of years ago my son showed up at my door to proudly show me his new mod. I don't recall which model it was, but it was a SMOK regulated mod with one entire side being the fire button. I didn't say anything at that time, but I was pretty sure what the outcome would be. Not 6 months later the mod stopped working.

In 2014 I worked at a B & M which was a 12 store chain across three states. We sold SMOK products. As a salesperson, we could expect 1/3 of the mods to be returned dead or dysfunctional. SMOK wouldn't reimburse or honor any warranty with our shops, so we ate the loss internally. We eventually stopped stocking SMOK mods.

If you've been on this forum for any amount of time, you'll have read more dysfunctional SMOK threads than any other product. Buyer beware.

As a SMOK Rant (and I have heard Many of them) I would rate this a 7.5 on a scale from 1 to 10.

It would/could have been Better if it had culminated in YouTube video showing a Mod being Bashed to Bits with a 20oz Framing Hammer. Or a Tank being dropped from a Multi-Story Building with accompanying Roadrunner theme music.

But Not a Bad Rant in and of itself.

SMOK was the first ego battery kits we got. I researched right away and SMOK back in the day was a good product, much better than those clone/fake ego kits that were everywhere. I don't think the CE4 clearos were SMOK but they had replaceable heads so they intrigued me enough to begin to revamp then rebuild them. Other than a couple TFV4's I bought in a coop that took me many frustrating attempts to wick and not have a random juice dumps that eventually shelved the atty until I discovered thinning of wicking it now hits like a champ with no leaking at all. I have a SMOK Alien I used a contest win gift certificate to purchase that is still NIB that I just put batts into and had a couple test vapes not to have a DOA hitter. The Alien along with many other hitters NIB that are put away for that rainy day.
I have no beef with SMOK yet but by the time I get to using the Alien it could be Jurassic for how vape gear changes daily.

If you need a mod of high quality, high end mods are the way to go. These are quite pricey but have lifetime warranties. Some are very difficult to get because they are very rare due to them being hand made in small quantities.

Lost Vape makes really good quality products. This is probably my favourite brand. Equipped with a DNA chip, it's one of the best money can buy. So far, none of my lost Vape mods have given any issues. I've been using my Triade since it came out and its still working great.

I have to say, I've read a crap load of complaints regarding SMOK Mods but to be honest I've been really lucky. I own quite a few SMOK Mods and so far none have given issues. I have the H-Priv, G-Priv 2, Priv V8, T-Priv, V8 stick, Prince stick, GX24 and the Mag. So far, the paint work has been good and I didn't experience any peeling. I've been extremely lucky and I hope I never get any issues with these mods [emoji51]

I think their older mods are very troublesome. I never owned the Alien or the G320 or their earlier releases. I think their previous mods were absolute junk as I've read too much of complaints about these. According to my friend who works at the Vape Shop, many of the mods the customers return have liquid in them due to leaking tanks. Liquid and electronic components don't mix well and this causes the mod to fail. SMOK should really consider sealing the device properly. They put the Screen on top of the mod which makes it even easier for liquid to enter and this is a problem if the screen isn't sealed properly.

I also kind of enjoyed the rant, although I generally do.

I have owned 0 smok products but I won a smokstick in a competition. I almost can't wait to try it so that I can form my own opinion.

I will say, I got a rant in me I think (about the ego mega one V2 tanks) I purchased 3 and only two of them work. I was SUPER sure I was in the warranty period, and the place I bought from has a 14 day warranty. So, I may wind up getting to talk to Joytech directly. I think a rant may be building.

Sorry to go off SMOK RANT topic for a sec, there. LOL.

Would have been better if it had exploded in a fireball like this SMOKstick X8. SMOK Stick X8 Blows up in a massive explosion

Wait for it...@ 24 sec mark.

Or if he had purchased one of the SMOK Grooves before the recall.

So by your own admission 2/3 of them apparently worked fine....at least passed the 30 day warranty or whatever. :D

I don't know about your expectations when you purchase a mod with your hard earned money, but a 33% failure rate doesn't pass the muster in my mind.

Add the fact that SMOK would not honor any type of warranty with its suppliers (our vape shop) forcing us to eat the losses, its not difficult to understand why we dropped SMOK in our shops.

Would you find that acceptable?
