So has smok admit the wires sticking out is the problem? If so could you share link. I am about to change out coil that I trimmed and has worked with out leaks now since I posted weeks ago. TFV8 Q4 coils at 75W (vaporesso pro 75W is the max) I would rather not have to modify every coil I have but would rather do that than have more tanks leak out on me.

Love the tip about putting the vape band over the opening of the tfv8 CB. My CB leaked once when I first got it but only a little. Not leaked again in six months of use. Great tank and my daily vape. Thanks for all the info.

Update on my leaking issue Tfv8. New coil Q4 installed a week ago. I did trim wires sticking out of coil before putting it in. I also soaked cotton with juice before install. I also stepped up the wattage in 10w increments. Happy to report no leaking. Yaaay!!!!

I had the same problem (notice the past tense used here) with my son's tfv12. Bought him the new tank and extra coils as a gift. He's been vaping for a couple of years now, so he's not a newbie. I've been vaping for a little over a year, but am a flavor chaser, not a cloud chaser, and thus,do not use these tanks. Juice was pouring out, no matter what he tried. I talked him into leaving me the tank, while he went back to college,to see if I could figure out the problem. I finally, after trying everything I could find online about the problem, thought that the black o-ring on the coil might be the issue. It looked a little small. I grabbed a spare o-ring from a smok tank (not from another coil, the replacement o-ring for the tank itself). I replaced the o-ring on the coil with the wider/thicker (not bigger diameter) one for the tank and have had no leaks! The new o-ring will have to be put on successive coils, and this may not solve everyone's problem, but it worked for us!
This forum won't allow me to post pics, so if someone wants to see them, contact me. I have pics of the coil with out any o-ring, with the new one, with the old o-ring stacked on top of the new one on the counter do you can see the size difference in thickness.

NOW LASTLY, IVE HAD THE BB, THE TFV8, AND NOW THE TFV12 AND ALL OF THEM HAD SAME ISSUE. WE NEED TO CREATE A PETITION OR SOMETHING BECAUSE ITS FLAT OUT WRONG THEY CONTINUE TO MAKE AND SELL US FAULTY PRODUCTS AND IM ....... ANYBODY INTERESTED IN STARTING A PETITION, WRITING OUT A LETTER, AND POSSIBLY EVEN FORMING A BOYCOTT AND SPREADING THE WORD? WE SHOULD NOT ACCEPT THIS BS FOR 1 MINUTE PPL. WE ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS. CANT THEY EVEN BE SUED FOR THIS OR A CLASS ACTION BE STARTEDM

Whoa dude you need counseling what a cry baby for the love!!! a petition or a boycott? you're kidding right? panzy!!! Go buy a bunch of other brands then tell me what you have to say about Smok which is hands down the greatest vape brand to date. All you ding dongs messing around with you coil wires that's not the issue at all!! All you need to do is change the part the is under the tip when you open the top to fill your tank it should close easily after you fill your tank and this indeed does create a vacuum but if it grabs when you close it then you will experience leaks trust me I've been vapin since vapin was vapin son and this is the fix stop messin with your wires and other seals it's simply the rubber piece on the top that has a lip on one side.
