My question is about the smok v8stick that i have used for well over a year now it seem to not have as much power firing the coil even when its fully charge is this because the internal battery wearing out completly? Ive just ordered a new one today online hope ive made the right decision. Glad to be part of this forum

Welcome and glad you joined.
I have 2 years on my internal battery too, and hopefully, expect to get another couple of years. I vape at 6.5 watts around 3 ohms, where your sub ohm'g .15-.25 ohms. I would not be surprised that the battery is failing after 2 years.
In General lower ohm coils/higher wattage vaping will:
Heat The Coil Faster
Produce More Vapor, can mute taste (coat mouth/build up)
Drain The Battery Faster/shorten life
Use E-Juice Faster
Produce A Warmer Tasting Vape
Shorten Coil Life
Shorten Wick Life
May be less healthier - higher temps.
May Produce Spit Back
More PV Maintenance/Issues
More irritation to non vapers (tends create more negative comments regarding cloud production)
More exposure to carcinogens at high temps

Yes, it sounds like your battery is dead. Nothing really wrong with replacing the smok stick if you like the vape. However, as Baditude pointed out I think, internal battery mods do have shelf lives that are unavoidable, and especially with sub0hm vaping it can be hard to keep a battery working a long time (and smok is not known for longevity, at least the mods aren't.)

If you like your tank, well, you could consider a one or two battery adjustable mod, if you are interested (and it sounds like you are stably vaping). If you are looking for longevity period, I might suggest a manufacturer other than smok (I am partial to teslacigs, Aspire even, and Eleaf as well as Innoken when it comes to durability). You can still use your current tank if you like it, but you may find that you enjoy having more variable wattage.

Best of luck with whatever you decide.

I'm not a fan of SMOK mods. They are not known for quality control or customer support for that matter. You might be lucky enough to get a "good" one, or not. They are not very consistant from one mod to another.

All batteries (internal or external) have a "cycle life" of 250 - 350 charges. After that they begin to lose their ability to hold a charge and will need to be replaced.

The problem with an internal battery mod is once the battery begins to die, you have to replace the entire mod.

If you were using a mod that has an external battery, you could just replace the $5 - $6 battery for a new one and continue using your mod.

Unlike Baditude; I am a fan of SMOK mods and feel they are a quality product. Been using them for years without issue. I also own the V8 stick (even though I rarely use it). Its quite good but like others stated; internal battery mods should be avoided if possible due to this very reason. After a period of time the battery gets tired and you are forced to buy a new mod.
