grimmer - darvon is a prescription pain killer, not a very effective one, but one none the less. Darvocette contains tylenol and is a commonly prescribed darvon product. With all the uproar presently about accidental tylenol overdoses, my guess is this is one of the drugs they would target, since it doesn't work very well to begin with, so overuse would not be that uncommon?
Sorry for the off topic.
effective is subjective. For me, Darvon works. It gets rid of my migraines. For advil or tylenol to do it, I'd have to take around a dozen pills. And, I'm mildly allergic to codeine, so that doesnt leave much else.

Today there was no movement on the Docket sheet. The FDA has less then 48 hours to file it's Brief before the Court deadline as set by Judge Leon.

Just out of curiosity, what happens if the FDA doesn't file tomorrow?

Bri--if the FDA were not to file today, they would just be standing on the pleadings they already submitted. But it would be highly unlikely that they are not going to. They are not going to give up their opportunity to reply. I will have a good long look tommorrow and post the update one way or the other.

Sun,
I just wanted to add my thanks to this thread to you for staying on top of this as throughly as you have done. I also wanted to let you know that I spoke with an online supplier of shisha and hookah related products and they are not, I repeat, not going to be effected by the FDA or the bill that is in congress right now. Shisha has now been listed as a "cultural" item, whatever that means, and it is not going to be subjected to the same rules as the rest regarding flavorings, etc. or shipment. I guess there was one bright ray of sunshine in all of this, for us hookah users at least. Still crossing my fingers and hoping for the best regarding the E-cig. Still, thank you so much for your efforts :).

Its always a measure/countermeasure with the feds in just about everything. I think the states should just do what California did with medical cannabis, tell the feds to shove it in their pie hole and do what the hell they want.

problem with that is here in california as in any medical marijuana friendly state we (the state/user/both depending of law) grow our own. and since all you need is a paper or some other legal tobacco delivery device approving per state medical marijuana is easy. if states were to try to do the same with e-cigarettes you would need an in state producer of the e-juice, and PV. not to mention that by the time any state could get throu the long and aggrevating process of passing a new law the FDA would be long done with their medical delivery device approval process and regulating e-cigarettes as they see fit.

i belive it took 20 yrs after marijuana prohibition started before there were any medical marijuana bills even looked at twice.

i think its time to treat my nausea:p:D:D

Today the FDA did in fact file its Reply Brief to SE’s and NJOY’s Supplemental Briefs.

The FDA argued under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act ("FDCA"), the new law expands FDA’s jurisdiction by granting it the authority to regulate additional nicotine- and tobacco-containing products that previously were not within FDA’s jurisdiction.

It is now in the hands of Judge Leon for a ruling........................Sun
