One thing about FDA approval that would suck big time is now that they regulate tobacco products they have the authority to limit nicotine levels which would end up on the low end IMO.Not good for me :nah:

Lord---We are a huge minority here --be it smokers or vapors--so we are not going to get to much support from anybody. As for the nic level--I am sure it will be high enough to keep you hooked so the money keeps coming in.

Largely due to this website, e-cigarette users are far more knowledgeable about products, and are far more organized than cigarette smokers.

The FDA is very unlikely (especially during the next three years when it will be focussing on complying with requirements in the new FDA tobacco law) to propose mandatory reductions in nicotine in cigarettes or other tobacco products, as doing so would result in smokers smoking more cigarettes and puffing more intensely (due to nicotine compensation). Those folks who have advocated mandatory nicotine reductions in cigarettes are back door prohibitionists, not public health advocates.

So Bill,, you're a smart guy, and seem to have a good seat to view all this from,,, do you think the FDA is open to ecigs if the manufacturers can come up with a reasonably safe product? Bottom line, if they are going to reject any formula they are asked to approve,,, we're doomed. I always try to stay positive,,, but it's hard sometimes,,,

The Docket Sheet today showed no movement today. We await the second hearing requested by Judge Leon set of August 17th at 3PM.

Sun

There was no movement on the Docket Sheet today.

Sun

Today the Docket Sheet no movement in the case. I would not be surprised that there are some additional filings with regards to studies before the Hearing.

Sun

Any recent updates Sun?

I know you do Sun, and I am grateful you share the information with the rest of us.

I was speaking of today in particular. I remembered you saying before that sometimes the dockett was updated early in the day.

Thank you!

Sorry Two--but there is no link---I have to go in every day and literally buy the docket sheet to look at it--whether it is updated or not as the only way to tell if there are updates it to buy it first--you do not get to look unless you pay for it.

I sure didn't know, and I think that a lot of others didn't know, that providing these updates was costing you finacially. We all benefit from your work. Is there any way we can help defray the cost?

Perhaps we could set up a Paypal account which we can give donations to Sun to cover the costs of the updates. What do y'all think?;)

    Hey Sun,
You seem to have a very level-headed grip on the situation and know what your talking about. What's your honest opinion on the current events? Just asking, cause every time I read this thread I get an inevitable sinking feeling...

Iron--My take? This is the Titanic sinking and we are half way up in the air about to plunge into the icey waters of black market purchasers for those that missed the "stockpile" life boats. There simply is nothing for Judge Leon to hang his hat on unfortunatly.
