I saw a smoking everywhere kiosk at my local mall so I stopped to check it out. I know they are overpriced just thought I would test the guy manning the stand. So I played dumb, asking about prices and such. I asked how you refill them and he said "we just sell the resevoirs prefilled. (never heard a cart referred to as a resevoir) Some people sell the juice but that's really dangerous. People don't know how much nicotine they are putting in and people can overdose and die!"
"oh my god" I said, trying to hold back a smile "has that happened?!"
"oh yeah it has. It's just really dangerous and we don't want that liability" he said. "plus these have a cutoff built in so you don't take too big of a hit and O.D." lmao!
He did a demo of one and it just seemed really cheap looking and it seemed like he didn't even know what he was doing. Just thought it was funny and wanted to share that with you guys. :D

they got my husband for $250.00 for 1 unit and 7 boxes of carts which I have all emptied cleaned an refilled with juice. The online shop is a complete ripoff ordered on May 1st and still haven't received any goods, but they took my money...my bank is dealing with them.

Still I thank God/dess we saw that kiosk it's allowed us to live in harmony in our home me with asthma and him with a 3 1/2 pack a day habit

I only wish there was a SE kisok around me - I'd pull out my SD and show them what a REAL PV is like....
There is one close by here and I plan on going there this weekend. I will have my SD with me. Oh, and I have a pen with a built in camera. I will try to take video of what happens.

I always hassle the SE guys at the mall near me since they sold me a subpar e cig nearly a year ago and didn't exchange it. That is when i was new to e cigs and of course like everyone else i've "learned" as Parked has said. The first e cigs they sold were crap KR808 models that produced minimal vapor, they charged 110 for them. Now they are selling RN4081's as the Gold/3.0. These are good devices, however they are not worth 130+ dollars that they charge, basically their prices of the day depend on who is there. They are a greedy company marketing a NEW entity to a smoker looking for an alternative, they dress their product up in a fancy box and catch people in busy shopping malls, they got me! In all they are in it for the money of people that don't know any better. NJOY's 4081 is another mainstream e-cig but it's only 79 bucks, that is still high in price but you get a warranty. ecigarettecigar. com sells the same exact RN4801 with TWO atomizers and TWO batteries for 54 bucks, you don't get all the elaborate packaging and jazzed up sales spin, but you do get an extra atomizer and the rest of the kit for well under 100 bucks, and Alan is a good guy to deal with!

Houdini, I see your in Vegas (my favorite place, will be there in June). I first saw E-cigs at the outlet mall on South LV Blvd, by the southpoint. He started at 150, and immediately went to 99.00 IF I BUY IT NOW. Well the businessman in me says "if he can go that far down that fast he is WAYYY overpriced. I will give them kudos, had it not been for them I dont know that I ever would have found e-cigs. Wife and I will be at the L.V. Hilton on June 4th, 5th, and 6th. Maybe yourself and any other esmokers you know could all hook up for a quick drink before I give all the I've money saved from analogs to the casinos.

The people who sell the SE e-cigs in the mall are like all the other people that sell stuff in malls. They are SALES people and are very willing to lie to make a sale. It is no different than the guy selling TV's in a store in the mall that will tell you crazy outlandish lies.

They ARE overpriced but then again how many of the sellers on this forum have brick and mortar locations where you can buy stuff and get instant gratification?

They ARE overpriced but then again how many sellers on this forum are giving a 1 year warranty?

They ARE overpriced but then again how many sellers on this forum are spending their money on lawyers to fight the FDA and make a difference for all e-smokers?

One other point that I think SE deserves some credit for is they seem to be the only company out there that uses VG rather than PG for their carts. I used their carts for a number of weeks before I discovered using liquids and did not have any problems. within a few days of starting to use liquids I was having horrible sore throats and it took me some time to figure out what was going on.

I only wish there was a SE kisok around me - I'd pull out my SD and show them what a REAL PV is like....

I have 5 malls that are within a 30 minute drive from where I live. One of those malls has an official Smoking Everywhere seller and the other 4 have sellers from In Life. In Life sells a multitude of products and they have SE GOLD's, 901's and pen styles. I have spent many afternoons with employees at the In Life location in the mall closest to me.

They all tell me similar things about what kind of e-cig sells well. The people that are buying them in the mall are buying the super mini's by a ratio of at least 10 to 1 over the other models. People want something that looks like a traditional cigarette.

So don't be surprised if the folks at the mall start laughing at the sight of a screwdriver. They probably have a better idea of what is marketable than you do and the SD might be a tremendous PV but it is very far off from an e-cig form factor and equally as far off from being a marketable product that a casual shopper would buy in a mall.

If you opened a SE kiosk in your local mall you could probably make a decent living just doiung that. If you were to open a kiosk that sells nothing but screwdrivers you would likely starve to death and need a second job in a matter of days.

i agree with you about the SD thing, that is for people who are really craving a product like that. I like the traditional looking devices myself. I just don't agree with their prices and their marketing scheme. In reality these devices only cost about 20 bucks for the supplier to buy. To charge over 100 dollars is being beyond greedy. The high prices pays for the fancy box and website, the flat screen TV showing the scroll of how this "tastes just like a cigarette" video, several employees, the mall space rental fee, and other costs that a business takes on to operate. It wouldn't be too hard to swallow except that their sales people are cocky, they give you a hassle on returns and warranty claims, and they think that they are the best device out there. My generic RN4081 and my generic penstyle are the SAME exact products just without the damn logo. I'm all for products that get people away from analogs but they are just a shady company. I was forced to buy cartridges from the kiosk last week just to get through my day on a business trip (ran out of liquid and my penstyle atomizer cooked right after i left the house). They tried to charge me 20 bucks for a pack, i was like wait a minute, the mall by my house charges 15 and THAT IS HIGH, 20, WTF! the guy was like fine 15 bucks dude! Come on, these carts are the same thing as every other 4081 cart, just in a sweet box!
