Smoktech DCT Pyrex: Boge F16 or Smoktech Dual Coil?

Hello again,

Another tank question.

I purchased two of the Smoktech DCT tanks (5ml?). One of them works remarkably, one of them doesn't. This is even after replacing the carto inside. The first carto flooded, which I admit was probably user error, but the second one just didn't seem to want to pull juice into it. Both of the cartos that i used were Smoktech DC cartos. I've heard, though, that the Boge F16 is better on these tanks.

Also, I was using Virgin Vapor 100% VG liquid. Now, that being said, their 100% VG isn't as thick as some other companies, and I used 100% VG in both the working tank and the non-working tank. I did use different flavors however. Which brings me to my second question that is a little more broad than just for this particular tank. Do darker juices not wick well on wick devices or not saturate well on carto devices? I seem to be having a problem with coffee flavors regardless of what I use (except for EVOD).

my smoketech carto flooded the day I got it. Been using boge f16's and they are working great. Even though they have two holes punched in them already I dremal a cut into one side. ( cut on one side hole on the other) seems to wick good and I havnt flooded them yet.

I am a firm believer that cartos will 'filter' flavors.
When I first prime a carto the color is in there. After a couple tanks I am still getting good flavor, good vaping, plenty of vapor....BUT if I remove the drip tip and take a peek the filler is bright white.
Yes it is fully wet/saturated, just NO flavor coloring.
Also about the third tank a dark stream will be slowly 'wisping' out of the prepunched holes back into the tank. So far it hasn't changed the vape.This is with dark flavors like chocolate, cappaccino, and the like.

Maybe this is why many Drippers say a carto will 'mute' the flavor.

I do know there are some great vape in my carto tanks that are too strong in my HH357.

I put a 100% VG Virgin Vapor Cotton Candy Carnival in one of my Smoktechs, with the factory carto, and it worked like a charm. It had SO MUCH FLAVOR too. On my other one, however, I've tried 4 different cartos, but no luck. I'll try the F16 and see what happens I guess. My lady friend prefers for the flavor to be a bit muted. Not me, though! Gimme' that strong juice flava!!

Also, like you said, the polyfill is bright bright white, but it's working great.
