I'm stress test my equipment too much to use clear tubes again. Tell me how they hold up to drops or sneezing or breathing heavy by them will yah? Still have fresh memories of the failomizers.

Well, I put mine to the test. Got it pretty hot several times and the tubes held up. So far so good. No warping or melting. I was vaping hubby's ProVari at 4.8V. I don't think I would go higher due to the tubes. I also used one on my Prodigy V3.1 at 3.7V. Excellent taste, vapor, and TH.

When the draw on these dual coils is extremely easy is that bad? I think it also causes the juice to leak out the bottom very easy when filling as well. I don't know I just put a fresh 3.7 battery on and started toking some JC french vanilla and the vapor just shoots through the airhole, i dont even need to pull to get a hit barely. Is this bad, or just poor quality control?

I can't really complain too much, but I think its extra hot but probably because its a fresh charged batt. However I just filled on with VG and its not even hitting at all, just a tiny tiny bit of vapor comes out but no actual hit.

On the four that I have tried, the draw does not seem overly airy.

about the one filled wit vg it could be a bad one or maybe its overfilled. maybe try at hv

just got my 1.5 clear duals yesterday...had some trouble filling...for one...it took an insane amount of juice and i thought...this cant be right!? but i filled it till it looked full. so so vapor and flavor....so i let it sit...and tried again...and so so....so then i blew some juice out and tried again. better but still getting lots of juice in the tip. and only okay flavor and heat. then this morning i tried again without the tip...better. then i topped it off and kept using it and...voila! much better! i could taste the flavor and its giving lots of vapor and semi hot. so i am liking this so far...i am using it on an epower from gotvapes. i will post again after using it today as my go-to vape setup. definitely recommend replacing the tip or tail-piping it. the tip that came with it draws too much juice up to the top and wastes it.

Break man...what do you think of that dual?

Hey Rock man,

NOTE: The Dual Coil I have is 1.5 ohms. They are totally different than a 510 LR at 1.5 ohms. They are not hot like LR's. You can use D.C. at almost any voltage and not burn or effect the juice taste IMHO.
I am using the D.C. on the .44 mod at 5v right now but it's NOT like using an LR atty a 5volts. Not harsh or hot. Don't know yet if it will degrade the battery usage time. Still testing.

The capacity of a smaller battery (14500, 900mah) is probably the factor. Pushing a regulator with a low resistance load drops the output down causing the reg not to fire. Like I SAID in the above post it works fine with a 18650 battery at lower voltages with the same Booster regulator and circuit.

I've definately noticed the draw tightening up with high VG juice. 60/40 Pg/fg works fantastic though.
I am a 70pg 30vg only guy so cant comment on that, I did throw my first one out today though, It started to taste bad I have been using it for a week and a half so I didnt even bother trying to clean it but maybe I should with my next one. It might be wortha shot anyway. Has anyone done that with or without success ?

I have cleaned mine, I rinse several times in very hot water blow it out from both ends, 2 cycles in jewelry cleaner (in hot water) and 40 minutes in a 240 degree oven. Worked like it was brand new =)

THESE CAN BE BROUGHT BACK TO NEW WITH A LITTLE ELBOW GREESE. I waited over two weeks before doing this to my first dualies simply because they were still working good...but not like new.

If you have a standard copper pipe cutter, you can refresh the dualies back to LIKE NEW (I have an ultrasonic but this works better).

Simple steps:

1) Use cutter right at base of atty (where the tube meets the base there is a seam...you may have to peel off the black wrap/cover to do this...comes off just like a sticker) to start a SLIGHT separation betwen the two parts (do not cut the tube).

2) Put carto on your least favorite PV (just in case you are to rough) and start wiggling until the carto silver tube separates from the base. It is a press fit between the two parts and will come free.

3) Carefully unwrap all filler (including the small pieces around the coils) and clean them in Iso or PGA then dry on paper towels. Don't worry about the two stiff tube pieces that sit above the coils.

4) Dry burn the coils a few times and when cool rinse with Iso or PGA to get the ash off(careful not to burn the small tube that sits above each coil).

5) Once everything is dry, re-wrap the coils with the small filler pieces (wrap in the same direction they were originally) and then re-wrap the whole assembly with the big filler piece. A bit of the juice you are going to vape with to wet the filler may help the wrap process.

6) Get the tube you have set off to the side and gently start twisting it onto the filler (twist in the same direction as the filler). Continue twisting until you have the two pieces snugged back together. Once snugged, give the tube a few taps with something fairly solid (your least favorite PV?) until the two parts are comepletely set to original.

7) Refill carto and vape away...JUST LIKE NEW...worked for me anyway.

Using this method, I am unsure of the life expectancy of these new dualies...I do know though that this will stretch your +/-$2 per carto a LONG way. Good luck.

ata.
It might be nice if you dissect it and check for burn, if you can find it.
Was it a burn taste or just funky? Did you keep it tapped up on a regular basis?

We're looking for issues/flaws here.

One Pig Down!

Nope not a burnt taste just funky, that is a good idea though, I will see if I can dig it from the trash. It was probably just old nasty juice.

edit;Wifey took out the garbage so no go on the dissection but at least I got to dig through the garbage for no reason.
