Drak, What's the clear thing on the top of the E-Power?
Trick Question? ...It's a dual coil carto.
By the way, where do you inject with the syringe? Bottom or top?
That's the beauty of using a syringe, it's all in the technique.
You start with it inserted all the way down, and you start injecting and pulling it up at the same time. I do that 4 times, like rotating a tire, and the juice distribution is perfect and takes me not even one single minute to fill a carto, it goes very quickly.
When you slip the syringe in, you're sliding it between the filler and the outside case, sliding it down the side of the casing until it's pretty much bottomed out or close to it, taking care not to 'snag' the filler along the way.
This ALSO helps if you have a 'dark spot', where old juice has collected and is turning dark.
While injecting the fresh juice, you can 'move' that spot around and break it up, 'pushing' it around with the fresh juice insertion.
If you inject too much in one location, w/o moving the syringe, it can overfill, blob, and drip quickly.
The secret to excellent filling is injecting and pulling up all in one movement to distribute the juice from the bottom to the top of the case all in one movement, then do that three more times around the perimeter.
I wish I had a video cam to show you how quick it is, like 30 seconds to fill maybe.
It takes longer to fill the syringe with juice than it does to fill the carto.
I've just been dripping down the sides, rotating the carto for even distribution.
Is there an advantage to the syringe?
I think the issue with dripping down the sides is threefold:
One, it takes awhile, much longer than the syringe method.
Two, I don't think you could ever be sure exactly how much your adding from refill to refill, with the syringe, it's completely pre-metered every time, and overfilling is the arch enemy of these things, it's the one thing that will take them down.
Three, I think it's easier to blob it down the center tube, something that never happens with the syringe method.
Basically, I think every time you drip fill, you're sort of playing russian roulette unless you really under-do it each time. The syringe is pre-measured and predictable -every- time.
And it's just so fast, 30 seconds tops and done.
Seems a bit of a pain to keep getting it out to top up.
I top up frequently to make sure the coils stay wet.
Hmmm, I think the fact that you keep topping up is a sign that you possibly never actually get 'full up'.
With the syringe, you very quickly get to know exactly how much you need to fill up, at least I do, so every morning, each carto is completely full, but none are overfull.
As well, maybe you're doing it out of fear that you'll burn up the carto.
I take almost every one of mine to the point where they look almost new, the juice is gone and the filler is white, I vape them until (either) I get the very first sign of a burned vape hit, or I get home at night, whichever comes first.
I have NEVER burned one of these up taking them to almost dry, I know the 'taste' where it's time to stop and remove it for the day, but you might be very surprised how far (dry) you can take them with no damage incurred.
I use these every day, and the single only way I have harmed them is to overfill them (which I did at the beginning until I got the hang of properly syringing) which makes the draw too tight for a comfortable vape. I've never burned one out, you can vape them until the filler looks like it's almost new again...it's easy to tell by the TASTE. If the juice tastes normal, even though the filler is almost new/white, you're still good to go.
The minute you get a hit that tastes like burnt atty, stop there and remove.
When these wet ones dry out, I'll try to take a series of pics showing a syringe-fill.
