These are not all created equal.

If you pop the cap and look at the wire inside the carto, you'll have either a bare/copper wire showing, or a green coated/wrapped wire showing. The cartos with the green coating/wrap, are magnitudes better than the others (at least of the cartos I've picked up over the last month). They are hotter, produce more vapor, and the flavor is more intense. I'm glad I got the green coated ones first, or I would have placed the dual coils in the same category as all the other "also-rans" cartos I've used over the years.

I have some from 3 different vendors now, and unfortunately because I mixed them up, I can only tell where 20 of them came from. My original batch of green coated ones I got from Nhaler, the others I got from 2 other vendors, but because I mixed them up, I don't know which of the other 2 vendors also has the green coated ones now, so I don't want to say anything yet. I have 10 more coming in today from yet another vendor, so I'll be curious to see the internals and performance on those.

For the record, the the non-coated ones are not a total loss. They don't have a good punch on my ego batts, but run em at 5-6volts, and they perform as well as the others do on the ego batts. So I use those at home with my mods...

I have the ones with what looks like copper wire inside. I thought copper emits bad gases or something to that effect and shouldn't be used around heat if you are going to be inhaling it.

Please tell where you got the ones with blue or black wires as I want to ditch these with copper, unless it's actually not copper and something else.

I know for sure Nhaler has the coated ones. I got 10 each from both Hoosier Ecig Supply and Clouds of Vapor. One of those 2 had the non-coated ones, but I got those mixed up, so I don't know which is which. I have 10 more coming in from Madvapes this afternoon, and from the post above by Rockproof, they should be coated. So I'm looking forward to comparing these against my Nhaler batch.

Its been said on here before its a copper wire. Just one more reason I didn't like them. I feel we are guinea pigs for the chinese sometimes. IMO it's better to wait 1-2 months after a product comes out, so that veteran vapers have a chance to take them apart and give their opinion. I.e. Grimm Green, Cisco, Isaac, OrthChris, Switched, DarthOctane, Stubear.. just to name a few that pop right in my head..

Not saying I automatically agree with those guys, but combined these people have lots of experience, and if all across the board they say the same thing, then I'm sure there's some truth to it.

In any way, these def work but they're not that revolutionary product everyone makes them out to be. It's a cartomizer with two coils. IMO Cartomizers with one coil have worked just fine. Next thing to come out is the clear dual coils, then the triple coils, then the triple clear coils etc etc.

I'm excited about the future but will be very skeptic about new 'inventions' out of china.

My first trial pack was from MadVapes and they appear to be coated, or I can at least see a litttle peek of green wire from the top. I'm not pulling it apart to see, only tried five. LOL These have performed for me at 3.2v, 2.7v and 5v with outstanding results at all voltages. An ego battery does not last very long with these cartos, they use a lot of juice, both nicotine and electrical.

and u will not be skeptic about new 'inventions' out of usa?china invented the e cig so they will always be ahead of the game.the usa is always last to get the latest hi tech gizmos and gadgets. um tired of hearing u guys hate on china while u should be trying to learn from them.the usa makes some great mods and juices but some of those usa made juices have a chemical taste and have to do that steeping bs.99.9% of the ecig supplies come from china and guess what, your going to buy it.

lol. no one is hating on china dude.

I'm just not buying the new products they produce on a weekly basis.

I'd rather wait for US ecig suppliers such as Cisco or Ikenvape to perfect that same CHINESE design and buy those products. The 'inventions' as you call them from the USA are all based on the original Chinese product.

You have taken my post out of context, and your block of a paragraph makes it hard to read, yet alone to understand. If what you got out of my posts is 'hate on China' then you need to go back to school and take a reading comprehension class.

I'm amazed how you took one sentence out of my whole post and decided to start an argumentative type post, yet ignoring the core of my post. I give credit where it's due, and have done so many times. I own an 510N, which is a battery mod made by Bauway, sold @ VIP Vapor Cigs Cigarettes - HOME. It was $65 and I can use it at 3.7v (with the supplied batteries) or at 6v (with 2 Lifepo4s).

So no, I'm not hating on the Chinese. I'm just not jumping on the bandwagon and praise every new product that comes from there, just as I'm not hyping up products that come from the USA like the MAP tank.

Have a nice day and Vape on!

Well, so much for consistency between vendors. All 10 of my cartos from Madvapes are showing non-coated copper wires from the top. I filled up a couple to test with, and they performed very poorly. Unfortunately, the 2 I tested performed poorly even at 5.5v on my buzz, which makes them a total loss for me.

I'm not sure what to think now. Rockproof got some well performing ones from Madvapes, so is this just a monster of a manufacturing goofup with Smok Tech, and all the vendors have a mixed lot of these things? So, it's the luck of the draw if you get a well-performing one now? This is smelling a whole lot like the CE2 fiasco a few months back. I'm gonna bust apart some of these so I can look for internal differences, and start sending some queries to the vendors about this.

I hate fiddling with these things, I just want to take them out of the box and go. But the ones that work, work so well they have been game-changers for me. So, I'll waste a little time on it I guess...

Couple of shots of these with outer shell and the polyfill wrapper removed. 2nd pic is with inner coil socks removed as well, so only the wicks remain on the wiring.

Carto on the left is from Nhaler, one on the right is from madvapes, but similar to the others.

What has me a little more irritated, is that regardless of color of the top wire, they are identical. I put a meter on those wires btw, they are ALL coated, even the copper colored ones. The wires are non-conductive on the outside.

IDK what is going on here. Except for the coating color, these things are 100% identical from what I can tell. Why does the one on the left work night and day better than the one on the right?

I am using one of these as we speak it just shows the copper wire so far think it taste pretty good for a carto.I do not know ware it came from i traded for 3 of them.I have it on my buzz at about 4.4 volt working great. My provarie worked good but had to take it down to 3.5 volt or it shuts down with erore code.

Yup Caged.
I run 100%vg.
It's mostly what I always use. Runs fine.

I've run into inconsistencies in the units. Some vape well, others vape like a big cigar. One was rough on the draw and visually the center hole was not open.
I'm on my 4th which has been a good experience, and does well. #1 and #4 were the best (#4 has had 100 drops of fluid run through after the initial refill,,,still running like new). #2 was clogged, and #3 didn't vape well at all (I seriously think only 1 coil was operable)

Oh, and I'm using a few standard 510 batteries ( 3.2v, 150mah), and they work fine, but battery time is cut in half.
Fat chance I will burn one.

I bet some arent working as well because they were the very first batch to come out. Now they have it down how to make them so they work better. I got from mine from Brent at hoosierecigsupply and everyone of them works great. He is ordering some clear ones and some 1.25ohm ones. I'll order from them more he is just waiting for them to arrive.

Hoosier has the non coated. Only ones that I have tried but I LOVE them :)
