What has me a little more irritated, is that regardless of color of the top wire, they are identical. I put a meter on those wires btw, they are ALL coated, even the copper colored ones. The wires are non-conductive on the outside.

IDK what is going on here. Except for the coating color, these things are 100% identical from what I can tell. Why does the one on the left work night and day better than the one on the right?

Hoosier has the non coated. Only ones that I have tried but I LOVE them :)

Hey, guys, which is it? Are they all coated or not?

I have one left and it's copper colored, looks uncoated, works OK. But I can't tell for sure if it's coated without taking the carto apart.

I would like to know also. Is the copper one actully coated? (I went ahead and ordered some from Nhaler.) The original ones I bought were from Digitalciggz. They have the copper colored wire. They perform awesomely with 100% VG.

Yup Caged.
I run 100%vg.
It's mostly what I always use. Runs fine.

I've run into inconsistencies in the units. Some vape well, others vape like a big cigar. One was rough on the draw and visually the center hole was not open.
I'm on my 4th which has been a good experience, and does well. #1 and #4 were the best (#4 has had 100 drops of fluid run through after the initial refill,,,still running like new). #2 was clogged, and #3 didn't vape well at all (I seriously think only 1 coil was operable)

Oh, and I'm using a few standard 510 batteries ( 3.2v, 150mah), and they work fine, but battery time is cut in half.
Fat chance I will burn one.

Piggin

Thanks. I think I'll go ahead and order some 100% VG juice then. I also think some of the ones that aren't performing as well as other only have one working coil. I had two that didn't work at all.

OMG yes, I use them on an e-power battery and they rock. use a drip tip they are just too hot if you don't..and talk about hot, they 'crackle and pop' like the OP, after initial filling I just drip 8-10 drops of fluid into them. This is my new 'most favorite thing'

They do crackle and pop, especially at 6+ volts. I sure hope the word spreads on these fast, people will be so happy.

Thats the sound of vapor guys!! LOL

I have a homemade atty that "detonates" every time you fire it as long as there is a slight pause in between vapes...it produces almost enough vape for a drag.

The part I dont understand..and the reason for mentioning it...is that I thought the heat from the coil was causing a pocket of juice to heat in the wick until it burst into steam kinda like popcorn....but these dual coil attys have no wick on the inside of the coil right...so that for sure wouldnt be happening on those?? Mine is a thick wick in the center with a 1.6 ohm coil running on 3.7v. Weird...... :?: ...here is what I'm talking about....

I think it is doin the same thing but the wick is outside the coil actually the whole thing is the wick.

Yeah, Caged.
It's the Q.C issues I'm not fond of on these dualies, and I haven't dissected the one with minor vape, so I'm assuming a dead coil. Might do that in a few days.
Overall though I love these things and will continue ordering them.

I do wish I could get these fired off on a 808 battery. I have one w/350mah, but I think there is a protect circuit in the batteries. The higher ohm (3 ohm) 510's work fine in an adapter. These won't fire off.
I simply want to stay with a cig sized battery (or there abouts).

These definitely need some juice to run. I would not try to make them work on a standard battery. If you really want a standard KR8 battery, the Bloog style carto is your best bet.

One thing is for certian, different juice tastes different on different cartos. One flavor I like on Bloog cartos has a perfume/chemical taste on these. The throat hit on these is much stronger as well, so much so that I can't use my existing juices with them.

This is the third carto I've tried and the first where I've experienced pain from vapor getting in my eye just like getting smoke in your eye from a cigarette.

I ordered some of these from nhaler after reading this thread. I have to say that they are by far my favorite medium to smoke out of yet. Granted I've only been vaping for a couple months, but the vapor and taste have been better than the majority of things I have tried.

I still like dripping on my 306 though =)

What are you attaching them to?

Caged.
As said, they run on a 150mah 510 standard battery, but I can't adapter them over to 808 batteries. The batteries just won't fire off. They lite up but no vapor. BUT when I put a 3ohm 510 carto on an adapter, and use it on a 808 battery, it's fine. It's like it sends the batteries into protect mode, but I don't know for sure.
808 batteries come in 150-250-350mah ranges, and a true 3.7v under load. That's why I wanted to try it. More available mah and a 1/2v more power.....no go.

And yeah, I use Bloog carto's on the 808's. Nice carto.

Beach.
Maybe I wasn't clear. The dualies (as I know) aren't available for 808 threading yet, and that's why I'm trying to adapt over.

Depending on the KR8s, your thoughts on these cartos tripping protection circuits is probably correct. Keep in mind normal 510 batteries are 3.2 - 3.4 volt and KR8 is 3.7 -4.2 volt, which means the KR8's would have to put more power to these cartos than the 510s and the batteries might not be able to handle it. Even expensive variable voltage mods have a hard time with these. Low ohms on small batteries lead to alot of stress and quicker deaths. Even if it works I don't recommend it.
