I've had my vmax long enough to compare it with others. Please don't get me wrong because I really do like my vmax. Heck I sleep with it every night. My problem is: if i set it to a certain voltage then make it that voltage. I don't like the variable stuff. I got some twist, some spinners, and just got a ITASE when I set them I can get a good vape. When I set the vmax it's burning up everything I got. Yes I've gone down to the lowest voltage and it's still to much for me. (Just me not the equipment) Set and calibrate your product like it should be. Stop the variable stuff. I was gonna buy a zmax but after hearing others on the forum I'll just stick to my little funky itaste and twist for now. (Cant afford a provari and it wont do anything the itaste wont do). And besides for a noob the itaste will even suggest a voltage for you. Let the argument begain!!!

Since I went to a higher resistance carto, I've found that I can actually enjoy my Vmax. Took me a long time to figure out that I was using a resistance that was too low for my taste. Guess I'm a wimp but I just didn't enjoy the hotter vape. But now it's a different story. Also I stopped looking at the numbers and just did the "Set it and forget it"

I understand the feelings of the faction of posters here on ECF who say, "I don't care if the voltage is calibrated to Vrms or Vavg. What the display says is not important to me. What I want is consistency---getting the same vape every time at a given setting."

Yes, I too want a consistent vape. I would also like the Chinese APV manufacturers to re-calibrate their chips from using Vavg to Vrms. It's not like the Chinese engineers don't have the savvy, skill, or tools to do this. Having purchased and used more than 90 PVs/mods/APVs in my two years of vaping, it would please me to have consistency of voltage across the board. I'd like a setting of 4.2 volts to provide the same voltage in my eGo batts, my box mods, my ProVari, my Vmax, or whatever PV I grab.

Sure, like most of us, I have enough brain cells to make the allowances from one PV to another, and I've learned to compensate by turning down the voltage on my Vmax, Ovale V8, and PWM Vtubes. I would like to see a consistent standard, however.

I agree, I own a Zmax and have to buy an ego twist just to vape and a real 3.3 volts or so. I set the zmax to 3.00 and it seems like 4.0 No good for some of my real sweet juices.
