All I heard was guys where dropping their devices and the buttons stopped clicking, simple......don't drop your chit lol...
Then there was Fazed who just had a "dud" idk but I think he claimed the button failed and was not capable of handling the 5amp rating it is supposed to have, I know I sure wouldn't run a 1.5 ohm dc at 6v but thats just me!!
I'm still wondering how fsroq has determined that there is a v1 out there with an updated button though and how would you know cause I think it is just luck of the draw on the button issue and v2 addresses a few issues of the v1.
Might simply be semantics, "any change is a new version." Might be smok PR, after they double-checked their supply of batteries and took out the duds they claimed somewhere that they "released a new version with improved button" or something. I do know that the button complaint was fairly common in the first few days of release and that it almost compleatly disappeared after a couple of weeks, so I can easily see them shutting down production for a short while to either QC all the buttons in stock or get replacements.
For all the flak he gets, Fazed wasn't the only one to get a dud. I saw a post somewhere by someone who'd gotten one of the first ones released to do a review but the first time he hit the button it stuck and the unit was unusable. Also seen plenty by people that got some of the first off the line and have not had a problem with them at all...
