http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coop-planning-discussion/342386-stainless-steel-zmax-tuned-display-vrms-wrms.html

Link to a coop in the planning stages for a SS Zmax updated with menu for Vrms and Wrms and I believe its going to have an OLED screen.

They are working with the vendor...they are showing an OLED screen...pretty cool. They will be getting 5 units to test for accuracy and will put it through the paces prior to making an order...If it works as it is supposed to the coop will continue...If not..No Go!

$51.00 each!!!

Read through the thread. It's interesting and could be something that turns out pretty cool.

That technically a "knock off" so I'd be a little wary.
The Sigelei cartos are supposedly very good so who knows...

I know It's a knockoff but it might end up being decent...I just discovered that a couple of vivi nova 2.5's I have are knockoffs and I was happy with them...didn't know the difference until I bought a couple "real" nova's and could see the difference.

I've only been at this for a month...Saturday will be one month since my last cigarette!

I've learned a boatload here at ECF in the last month...and have 11 devices already and keep adding more...I'll probably be ordering a Provari next week. I've also ordered supplies from Wizard Labs to start making my own juice.

I figured for 50 bucks I'd "roll the dice"

DIY is fun and easy, and you'll probably make better juices than you can buy. My problem is that I vape them before they "steep." I was on a week road trip and when I came back my steeped DIY was even tastier.

Are you saying this is different from the versions in Germany?
Looking at the test results I can only describe it as a true "Provari killer" and that's as a Provari owner - it will do everything as well as the Provari and be an accurate variable watt device too.

I dont know about the German version. Anyhow I got my hands on one today. It looks very nice, great finis, all SS. Its a lighter than my ProVari, can accept EGO stuff, as well.

But the main thing is the 8th menu. If you set to fine tune versino, the watt seems to be pretty the same vape like on my Darwin. I have no equipment to measure, but user experience is great so far. A ProVari killer? If it will look like today in a year (as my ProVari looks after 18 months like on the day I got) and battery life will be ok I guess yeah. But I do not think PV will let the boat sink. I guess they are working hard to have their own VW version.

Anyhow here is a picture of the 8th menu:

Just swapped the cap for the long one, never tought it would be good for a 18650...only needed like 1.5mm for the Panasonics

Xtra cap came w/o a spring on yall too?
I think "they" owe you a spring.
You might want to have a look in your packaging material if that's possible, my cap was in a little zip-lock bag though.

Just got my Z (all SS) and that thing is a beauty.

Vapes like a dream at 6w too.

Hell, its not THAT off,a freakin used stardust with short wicks can keep up,without tilting!

Looks like a rocket

The bottom cap wont screw all the way with the Panasonic CGH in it though.

That makes no sense... the CGR18650-CH (if that's the one u meant) is one of the shorter ones out there!!

Ditto that. My two Panasonic CGR18650-CH fit better than my IMR batteries. They are the same length or shorter than my IMR batteries. In fact, the Panasonic is probably a perfect 18650 sized, unlike some batteries whose measurements fall way out of spec. The standard Zax end cap works just fine. I apply positive pressure on the cap to compress the spring while screwing the cap on the bottom of the ZMax to make it easier to get the cap on and off.

I know that the button-top Panasonic's are longer than the flat-tops, and the protected ones are even longer still. Which ones do you have that wouldn't fit well?

He's talking about the CGR18650-CH hybrid cells. They are unprotected and button top. That is the only way you can buy them. They are a almost exactly 65mm in length.
