€129 for ss version - I'll pm you the store addy as I don't think I'm allowed to link to non-ecf approved vendors.

cool. thanks dirk.

edit: looks like they are already sold out.

Too bad smok did not make the v1 firmware upgradeable. I have learned where to put my v1 so I am quite happy with it, but I have v2 envy and that green led is cool.

Another thing about the v2 stainless steel that should be mentioned is the build quality is surprisingly very sturdy with very nice threads. I have a V1 also and the new one blows it away with how it looks, feels, and performs. Overall This is my all time favorite device. It is light enough to comfortably carry. Feels extremely solid in the hand and the finish is spectacular :)

Doesn't the button mechanism feel any different?

I just compared the two and it feels slightly different but that may just be due to the 2 months of use on my chrome v1. The SS version is also all stainless not plated. You can feel it when you hold the mod

I guess I need to "feel" it for myself but perhaps the sharp edges of the grooves would provide a better gripe on the device, just thinking

The edges are cut precisely; I wouldnt call them sharp per say. It is just a different material (ss vs chrome plated brass) so some variance in feel is expected

Dwcraig sir yes and no. Gives it a better grip, but on one of the grooves on mine was actually sharp enough to cut skin (have the cut to prove it). Had to sand down that edge a bit.

Did you get it from the coop? Shrek mentioned one of the bodies he sent out had a bad defect (doesn't know who he sent it to) and he would exchange it with one of the warranty backup units for the person that received it.

I've got a v1 (maybe 1.5?) from MadVapes that is the same body... 8 grooves, precise vent cuts, great threads and very sturdy. Just wish it had the updated electronics.

No Jackbox sir I didn't. Got mine direct from china. It's no real biggie to me, just a minor cut.

Stacked 18350's with a 2.5ohm sc carto with rms on- 3v=3.07v, 4v=4.09v, 5v=5.12v, 6v=6.13v
Stacked 18350's with a 2.5ohm sc carto without the rms turned on- 3v=4.17v, 4v=5.16v, 5v=6.08v, 6v=7.12v

Up next will be the wattage settings with 2.5ohm sc carto single 18650.

If your going to buy the Zmax version 2 i found this site listed for just the Zmax itself with 20% discount code at top of page.
Listed for 119.95 before the 20% discount .
Discount coupon expires Oct 31st.

PowerTube ZMax

Im not affiliated with them in anyway, i dont know how good the vendor is nor how good that stainless Zmax there selling is - just trying to help save anyone a few bucks if your searching for them.

They do list a phone number located on the "About us" page.

6v=7.12v - that's a pretty insane number.
Optimo will be happy;)

If they hold up in the long run the RMS function seems to be the magic bullet to make it a great mod. Those numbers are close enough to be right on for most but super nitpicky people.

Let me answer your button question... my version 1 and 2 are pretty much the same but does have a click to it. Same goes for build quality and machining... garbage! But it is not a ProVari and I do love the performance of the product.

I don't see how you consider the build quality garbage. I have a chrome v1 and the build quality on my unit is pretty solid. I don't have any problems with the threads either. No issues with mine and the chrome looks pretty decent and the finish has no flaws in it.
