-I'm currently a non-smoker looking at getting into vaping. I used to work in a cigar store and smoked two or three large cigars per day, but haven't smoked a cigar in a very long time. I never quit intentionally; I just got busy and stopped. I'm looking at getting into vaping as a fun activity to get relaxed from nicotine. I'm not looking for something similar to a cigar in flavor or appearance.

-I've never inhaled cigars or any other form of tobacco for that matter (other than hookah on a rare occasion). I am looking for a vape kit that is easy on the lungs. Something smooth like hookah smoke, but with the nicotine impact of a good cigar.

-I'm not looking for advice on why vaping is bad. I appreciate your good intentions but save your judgement for someone else.

Suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks! :D

Check out ahlusion.

I didn't read the whole thing because I don't want to have to go off on anyone.

To the ADULT OP who formerly smoked cigars, is aware of the effect of nicotine, and wants to vape:

1. An eGo Twist or Vision Spinner will give you cheap, reliable, variable voltage vaping. (Basically you can change the warmth of the vape affecting the flavor of the juice.
2. Vivi Nova regular or mini.... easy to fill, replaceable heads, no fuss.
3. epipemods.com or theplumeroom.com for tobacco juices. I don't vape tobacco much, a lot of my friends do and recommend those two. I personally love the honey fig tobacco from The Plume Room

I would stick to 6mg juice just because you don't want a high level of nic. Not only will it cause addiction, but higher nic means harsher. The lower nic will be smoother. Also VG is smoother than PG.

I'm 27, not that it should matter at all. I searched, but couldn't find anything about ecigs which are good for non-smokers. Not much out there on the subject. Thanks for the input.

What kinds of responses did you expect? Maybe you should have worded it different, like "looking for a smooth vape for a casual smoker". Reminds me of the mall kiosk guy who asked me if I smoke and I replied "no, but I'm looking to start!" The look on his face was priceless, like he was having an internal moral dilemma whether to try selling me an ecig anyway. Imagine going on a drug addicts forum and asking "I'm not a current drug user but I'm looking for a good one to start for non-users." Most addicts wish they never started in the first place so you can't expect encouragement from us as far as starting nicotine :p. But were all adults here so we all have the right to jump on the self destructive band wagon if we so please. Cuz hey, there's a lot of worse things that can harm u! Like hurricanes, global warming, j-walking, etc.

But in all seriousness, a good place to start would probably be with a cheap ego kit from liberty flights or madvapes, one that comes with cartomizers. Then eliquid, a nice smooth flavor from backwoods brew - they're all pretty tasty (bluebacko is a nice blueberry tobacco). Or maybe if you are looking to be even more casual you can go with an epipe from epipemods. I hear good things about their pipe sauce, but have yet to try it yet (waiting on an order so ill let u know).

Also I'd recommend going with a low mg level like 12 or 18mg/ml. Might also be a good idea to get 0mg juice which tends to be smoother (more nicotine = more throat hit). Also 0mg will give you a way out if you find yourself becoming dependant on the nic.

So good luck to you, and may vaping complement your life and not control it ;)

Try WTA cinnamon bun from Aroma juice. WTA has relaxation components and it's avail in 2 strengths of nicotine. I think 12 and 24? Anyway. It is every yummy and all VG. There is zero hit for me. I like throat hit but I just know you will enjoy this flavor and the mellowness of it all. I recommend glass tanks and ss cartos 2 hole drilled smoktek at Low Reserve vaping w/ simple 3.7 volt battery. Understand that people who quit stuff are still remembering their addiction and do not have an objective point of view. Enjoy

Vaping isn't bad per se, but nicotine is highly addictive!
I'm here as a result of wanting to quit stinky smokes. The fact that juice contains nicotine allowed me to switch from analogs.

I'm not here to judge, I just find it really difficult to encourage getting hooked on an addictive substance.

I just want to gently "push back" a little bit on this point, as a friend of mine likes to say.

Nicotine all by itself is less addictive than when it is accompanied by other components of combusted tobacco leaves, as well as gawd knows what else the ciggie companies add to their evil product to maximize addiction, and therefore, ill-gotten gains. "MAOIs" (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) are the most commonly referenced compound regarding the addictive nature of cigarette smoking (when, of course, ingested along with nicotine). I think, but am not entirely sure, that MAOI's are contained in Whole Tobacco Alkaloids (WTA's) that are sometimes added to e-liquid to more closely approximate the array of chemicals ingested when smoking a cigarette. To date, I have not experienced the need or desire to do so. I prefer to simply enjoy the scientifically-proven (to my satisfaction, anyway) benefits of the ingestion of nicotine by itself, absent the accompanying cornucopia of toxic substances accompanying it in cigarette smoke, a rogue's gallery of poisons that I'm confident is familiar enough to most of us that I can omit their enumeration in this post.

A thumbnail sketch of nicotine benefits vs. risks:

Benefits:

Improved mood (duh)
Lessening of the symptoms of depression
Improved memory
Improved concentration/lessening of the symptoms of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)
Forestalling the onset of, and/or lessening the symptoms of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases

Risks/Downsides:

Slightly elevated blood pressure and heart rate

Prudent course of action, in my view:

Striking a therapeutic balance between the benefits and risks by vaping the "optimum" nicotine strength e-liquid, as best that can be determined by any individual vaper.

I actually think that President Obama should start vaping. I am inclined to recommend vaping to anyone, regardless of whether or not they currently, or have ever, smoked cigarettes, cigars, or a pipe, or have ever dipped, chewed, snorted, or otherwise used tobacco products.

There, I said it, and I'm glad.
