Both techniques require more skill and attention than "just plain coil" methods. Mostly, I've not had issues with burnt insulators unless I over powered stuff...cloud chasers should not be using stuff with rubber grommets.

You can say that again, Atty! :p

P.P.S.

I've started to "just buy" coils. The Evod coils are about $10.00 for 5 coils and each coil lasts me at least 3 weeks. I keep the old parts around for emergency re-coiling should the zombie apocalypse hit. But it's just so much easier to buy em. Got tired of re-coiling.

Now for heavy duty mods with RBA's and heavy wire (like 28 ga)...well, they last forever...just clean em. So they can last for months each.

That I don't believe.

However, the general rule is...meh...on the grommets. Don't over-watt them. ;)

TY, Atty, You're too kind. I know some stuff theoretically, but I never rebuilt anything-yet. But I'm tempted.

I figured that much. I think I'll just try a 32g kanthal and see what happens. I have a few old coils saved in my vaping "you-never-know" box. :D

And now I'm gone! You guys are the best!

And I was just getting excited.

Atty, the main reason I'm thinking about rebuilding is performance, not so much savings. I've been reading about Nature Vape coils, they look good, but are very expensive and can only be bought on the other side of the pond, which makes them even more expensive for us.

http://www.naturevape.co.uk/store/#!/Coils/c/8507589/offset=0&sort=normal

But then I thought--I can make a coil like that myself...

And now I'm really outta here!

hi and bye, tweety! ;)

we got the first brother in already from florida and heat in mil's not working - was on the phone all afternoon ;)

seems everybody's busy already preparing for thanksgiving - mighty quiet in here :?:

and it looks like an indictment in ferguson - i don't believe they would be stupid enough to schedule the announcement for 9pm if it were otherwise

You underestimated their stupidity.

No Indictment.
Let's see what happens next.
