Win 8 has "The Windows Store". (Kinda like phone apps...but for windows desktops too, not just windows phone)
I'm playing "Microsoft Sudoku" while I wait for Ms Daisy to finish taking Tibs outside.

There's a normal desktop that I use mostly.

I only use the "other screen" as a "menu" or "start screen" instead of a "start menu". It's no big deal. You'll adjust, Fran. Kicking and screaming, but you'll adjust.
