Seems to be a lot of it going around for all of us lately.
IDK how anyone can expect "non-computer people" to deal with it all. It's crazy. Then there's so many "computer support" scams. I hear that MS is finally suing about 100 of them (or however many) that they can find, who are claiming to be calling from "Windows Support".

I'm biased for latest-and-greatest. So I "go with it".
The win 8 thing is a slight adjustment because you lose the start menu and get a whole new screen instead. And you "flip/switch" between the normal desktop and the app/start screen.
Other than that, it's a newer and better version. Better memory management, better processor usage, more bug fixes, things like that. The desktop works the same as it does in Win 7.
All generalizations, of course.
People would complain about almost any change as drastic as that. But it brings tablet users a new and easier-to-tap-stuff interface.

There are scams everywhere. Atty. I got an email from "Walmart" that "my item" is ready for pickup--"click here for more information"... It looked legit, Walmart logo and all. But when I hovered my cursor over the link, it revealed a Chinese address...
I almost fell for it....

I was going to do a system restore on my laptop that has tons of issues. Laptop wouldn't even open it.Won't open Windows update either. Figuered it's time for a new laptop so I have a middle of the line Lenova coming.
