The alert system is....so-so. I've turned most of it off, so it doesn't annoy me as much. I only get alerts on new-posts (but only for some, must be followers or follow-ees or something). Basically I ignore it unless I'm using it as a short-cut to get to a thread without having to go to the "watched threads".
but do you think it could be the cause for the increased data consumption on ecf since the switchover?
Just got back. Surgery is Thursday morning. Have to redo some things around the house before she comes home as she won't be allowed to jump for 8 weeks and she LOVES her love seat in the room with me at the computer desk. Think I will put cushions on floor and move frame into spare room, block off the family room and there is no place else she could jump. She would have the living room, dining room and kitchen to roam around in and get exercise.
Sorry for the rambling. I am so nervous and I know that probably sounds dumb, but she is my baby.

Mom went to rehab yesterday. Hopefully this will be the start to a full recovery for her.
