Still no phone.

Considering dropping land line. I do have a TracPhone flip-phone that stays in the car
for emergencies (but have been using it the last FIVE days). Not-legally-"HUS"bear
upgraded his TracPhone flip to a Samsung "smart"phone and I may do the same... get
used to it... then drop landline.

Unacceptable repair time.

I tried bull:censored:ting the customer service telling them the 93 year-old woman next
door is also without phone service... and she depends on "LifeLine" in case of a fall...
and I hope nothing happens and the family sues for phone company negligence. They
said SHE must call and register a problem report and it would be escalated. I asked how
she was supposed to call when her phone is out. They just parroted their own response.
(Truth is, she's been in rehab for over a month... not home.) It was worth a shot.

I just upgraded from my iPhone to the Galaxy and am loving it. Was a bit doubtful at first, but all doubts have been squashed.

    NOT doing any monthly contracts.

TracPhone is $99/year, 800 minutes. For as much as I use the phone, that will
be plenty of time. I don't plan to use it as a "mobile device"... i.e.: coming HERE.
