Running late. Puggers had a MAJOR HORRID seizure. She is okay now, but it did all 3 of us in. Talked to my vet friend, and we are starting her on anti seizure medication tomorrow. Could be more than allergies, but without and MRI we don't know. And I don't have that kind of money. Even if we got it done and it showed a brain tumor, there would be nothing to do but try to control seizures until it was her time. My heart hurts, but I'm glad she is ok for now. We just go one day at a time, just like with Piper.

Goodnight Snails......hoping for a better tomorrow....
So so sorry Kat :( Hopefully Puggers will do as well as Cleo did and not have such severe attacks after she starts her meds.

Good night all you lovely & handsome Snails :)

    morning, frannie and kat!

and you know that puggers will pick up on your worries? try to relax a bit for her sake!

I know, Tib. Thanks for the advice. I am just breathing and relaxing as best I can. It was just so hard to watch as I held her, but she did way better than me...lol.

Good morning. Not much sleep at all. Puggers is still restless and so hungry. It's like she hasn't eaten in weeks. My nerves are on the edge, constantly checking her.
I feel lousy and I know anxiety is a HUGE part of it.

I am able to completely sympathize/empathize with your situation. Wishing you and Puggers the best of progress.

I'm strongly considering taking T'mato back to his regular vet, reciting observations, and letting him stay there a
couple of days for hydration and, maybe, tube feeding. I'm not at all pleased with most of what I see, and hating
doing all the forcing myself. There is one more blood test that checks bowel function and it also has a pancreas
    analysis.

I have a couple errands/chores I want to get done first, and will think about the above in the meantime.

Morning, Sweet Bear and OBG....thanks, Bear. We all hate to see our babies suffer and feel helpless when we can't make them better. Her seizure activity puts me on high alert for more, because you never know when the next one will be. I won't leave her, so, we have to plan around when one of us can be home. And, no guarantee that the phenobarbital will do the trick, since we are not sure WHAT we are dealing with. Donna (vet) still suspects it's allergy related but is concerned by the fact that they have gotten worse. She's only had 2 in the last month, but they were both doozies, with this one the worst. One foot in front of the other is all we can do. She is acting fine now. It's ME who needs sedated at this point....

Good morning, Fran, Tibs, Kat, OBG, Bear & CES

Oh dear, hope Puggers will improve soon. Actually, phenobarb is not an anti-seizure med, but is USUALLY used in conjunction with an anti-seizure med. Phenobarb is used to relax the nervous system hopefully to avoid seizures.

Bear, hoping T'mato will be better able to respond to whatever you decide to do.
