Grrr.
Stupid Secretary of State......(well, it's not really their fault I guess).

I have to renew my driver's license. Can do it online but can't renew my "enhanced" license, just get a normal one. GF and I both have that so we can travel to Canada if we choose (did that on a train trip/tour thing). It's US/Canada/Mexico mini-passport kinda thing. All due to the new restrictions because of those ....-head terrorists and ....-head drug people and ....-heads in general.

So now I'm trying to decide if I want it renewed. She renewed hers. Gotta figure out how much extra that will be. Grrrrrr.

EDIT: Extra $20.00. Grrrr.

Yeah....if she wants to drive there by herself....

It's a passport. I either have to bring a real passport, maybe a birth-cert, or the enhanced license. They check each PERSON at a border crossing. I get that it's to protect us. I'm not blaming the enforcement. It's just that but-heads being themselves causes the action to be necessary in the first place. We used to have "normal" policies whereby you could just show ID. Now it's stricter...because ....-heads suck, and cost us all money. 'cuz they're ....-heads.

I'm strongly considering taking T'mato back to his regular vet, reciting observations, and letting him stay there a
couple of days for hydration and, maybe, tube feeding. I'm not at all pleased with most of what I see, and hating
doing all the forcing myself. There is one more blood test that checks bowel function and it also has a pancreas
analysis.

I have a couple errands/chores I want to get done first, and will think about the above in the meantime.

Waiting for vet call-back to decide on (more) next steps.

Awww, so sorry, Bear. I feel for you, Sweet Guy!!! Fingers crossed. :)

Sounds like he will be there until Wednesday. Bloodwork for bowel function and pancreas.
IV fluids (not just under the skin), high-cal food (forced if needed), check that liver has
not suffered over the last week+2 days. Re-check that antibiotic worked.

Well, at the very least, you know he's getting proper care! :)

I survived the firewood with no ill effects and hubs survived shopping and wrapping.
    That's a load off your back.....no pun intended! :)

Propane...(that, BTW is a wast product of other manufacturing that nobody used to even want, they used to burn it off and throw it away) is mega $$$$$$ expensive compared to wood or nat-gas or even oil. Ever since they found this "captive market" of people that are in rural areas not serviced by other utilities...and gas-bbq-grill people, trailers, etc... they gouge the hell out of propane.

    Electric isn't that bad here i heat/cool a 1600 sqft house and a 750 sqft shop for 202.00 a mo.:)

    P.S.

    .... heads suck.

    Dear Mr. OBG

Thank you for contacting me regarding your support for H.R. 2058, the FDA Deeming Authority Clarification Act of 2015. I appreciate the time you took to reach out to me on this important issue.

H.R. 2058 was introduced by Representative Tom Cole (R-OK) on April 28, 2015. Since then it was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. This bill would prevent the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from banning innovative tobacco products such as electronic cigarette and vapor products that have come to the market since 2007. Without the bill, the FDA could force companies who manufacture and sell these products out of business through extremely high compliance costs. Also, if no action is taken people who choose to use electronic cigarettes may be unable to access them. If I have the opportunity in the future to vote on this bill, I will certainly keep your thoughts in mind.

You may also be interested to know that the House of Representatives voted earlier this year to improve the FDA by passing H.R. 639, the Improving Regulatory Transparency for New Medical Therapies Act. H.R. 639 was introduced by Representative Joseph Pitts of Pennsylvania on February 2, 2015 and passed the House on March 16. The Improving Regulatory Transparency for New Medical Therapies Act awaits consideration in the Senate, but if enacted it would require the FDA to delay evaluation of certain drugs until the Department of Justice rules on the legality of those drugs in order to align and streamline the process.

Again, I appreciate the time you have taken to reach out to me. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any additional questions or concerns. I am honored to have the opportunity to represent the Eighth Congressional District of Missouri and encourage you to visit my website at www.jasonsmith.house.gov/contact/newsletter to sign up for my e-newsletter and receive regular updates from Washington, D.C.
