got you beat - i'm running xp pro hence atty's little hints!

I still have my Win95 and XP computers. I'm thinking about having them imaged
onto an external to be able to boot them up... I'm told it can be done (if only to
run old old old games that I do miss). But I'm dubious about that working with a
64-bit PC. I'd have to read up on it... or take "Geek Squad"s word for it.

The "compatibility mode" thing is useless. I've followed step-by-step instructions
with zero success.

XP Pro was about the most favorite of the OS for me.

I should just try booting them as they are... I can imagine the dust storm
that would fly out. I'd be happy if just the Win95 one could be revived.

Thing is, if I take them in to be imaged "professionally", I cringe to think about
what "else" is on those old machines... ... you'd think I'd be beyond
feeling mortified. I'm sure they have seen EVERYTHING!!!
