I love Amazon, for the most part. They make me shake my head sometimes,
though. Re: the umbrella... it turns out (after actually TALKING with a rep)
the shipping label was printed, but the product was never picked up by UPS.
So Amazon canceled the order and put the $ back into a GC account (where
it came from, anyway). I can now reorder at the lower price. OK, fine.
BUT... *IF* the umbrella
was actually in transit, they would NOT budge in
giving back the price difference. (I was told that before they checked with
UPS). Amazon suggested I refuse delivery, have it sent back, get a refund,
and reorder. That makes NO
sense to me at all. Why not just give the $
difference back and avoid all that
