Our azaleas were a few weeks ahead of yours, they're done now and it's time to trim the plants.

I guess this thread is as good as any for me to share a freak black-eyed Susan growing in my yard.
It's growing on the same plant with normal blossoms. I've never seen anything like this before.

Even the stem for this bizzaro flower is bizarre, flattened like a ribbon cable. Compare to the normal stem and blossom below it.
Thanks for sharing. :) I think it's pretty cool looking. It's like a Siamese black-eyed Susan.

Apparently that can happen with many different types of perennials.

ecf is sick this morning ................
I call it the "mail ban" side effects. There have been a couple, few, days recently where it has felt like a ghost town on ecf. Kind of eerie. :cool:


ETA: NVM, I am behind. :facepalm: :lol: It loads ok for me. But then again I am not on a Windows PC. I use my Mac's, iPad or iPhone. But I do have Windows running on one of my Mac's. ;)
