Hello, people. Have a great night.

p.s. Atty, I can't believe it but I got my system up and running with the new ssd hard drive.

Once I learned where it was, then I had to order the right one. I accidently ordered a M.2 NVMe SSD when I needed a M.2 Sata SSD. I changed the hard drive out and put everything back together and started my system up. It gave me 3 choices: 1) bios set-up (or something like that). 2) factory reset. 3) last set-up that was good (or something like that). I tried all three but nothing was there. LOL

I thought--well, there's no operating system on the hard drive, so how can the system do anything. Yesterday, I downloaded a copy of windows to a usb flash drive thinking I may need it. I also located my product key for windows on my system using a cmd prompt--I ended up not needing it.

Anyway, I started the system up again with the flash drive inserted. Viola!!! It was all over except setting it up with answering some questions. And because I have a MSN email account that I pay for, a lot of my stuff was saved like passwords. A lot of my pics and documents were already saved on One Drive in the cloud. Almost everything was set up for me once I entered my passwords for my MSN account.

LOL. I couldn't tell anyone how to do this on their particular system. Most of it is intuitive with a little research on the web. Now I have to buy a new monitor--thank god that's all i need right now (I'm poor:?:). Any suggestions? I have a budget of $400. Not that I want to spend that much, but I've been looking and it appears I'll need at least $300 to get anything worth buying.

I'm considering these 3 right now:

SAMSUNG 34" Odyssey G5 Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor with 1000R Curved Screen, 165Hz, 1ms, FreeSync Premium, WQHD, LC34G55TWWNXZA, 2020, Black

Dell Curved Gaming, 34 Inch Curved Monitor with 144Hz Refresh Rate, WQHD (3440 x 1440) Display, Black - S3422DWG

Sceptre 34-Inch Curved Ultrawide WQHD Monitor 3440 x 1440 R1500 up to 165Hz DisplayPort x2 99% sRGB 1ms Picture by Picture, Machine Black 2023 (C345B-QUT168)

Glad you got it working Pepper!

Totally your personal preference and budget on the monitor. I mean, there's so many variables...flat vs curved, resolution, response time, type of emitters....I cannot begin to be up to date on it all. I'd do as you're already doing...check reviews from trusted long-term sources. I'd want at least HDR support if I could afford it. Setting it up in Windows is another matter ;)

I'm already under way on the research, but I've got to make a decision soon. This monitor is getting worse. thanks.

Atty, I think I have found the one.:?: It's regularly $800 and on sale for $449 with 0% financing for 1 or 2 years at Samsung.com If u have time, look at the video and tell me what u think. I'm probably going to get it. I'm just looking for some positive reinforcement telling me I'm doing the right thing before i pull the trigger. It has speakers which I could care less about as I have my own. I also didn't want a monitor with a camera built in--can't have people spying on The Pepper™.
