OK, then... "we are OK compared to how it COULD be". In other words,no, we're not
"it COULD be [even] worse".
Is that OK?
And, ACA will live on. It does need adjustment, but it will continue for 4 more
years, taking me (how selfish, I know) to 64.
It's cheesing me off to no end when they keep blathering that "Obamacare
premiums are going up 25%". Making it sound like EVERYBODY on ACA will
see a 25% increase. It's a patently false LIE.
1. People on STATE-RUN exchanges will NOT see that kind of increase. MOST
will see NO increase. Geeze [tm FranC]... if MY premium goes up even $1,
that would be, mathematically, an INFINITE $ increase.
2. Even those on the national exchange will not all see that increase. It's
only for a relatively narrow range of folks within certain "metal levels".
2a. If you are in a state that uses the national exchange, GET MAD AT
YOUR STATE!!!... NOT the concept of ACA. YOUR STATE is making that
choice FOR YOU. Kick THOSE .......s out of office.

I also like HRC's mention (in last debate) about raising the Social Security
payroll tax cap. It would be even better to eliminate the cap entirely.
But raising it is a good thing. I'm not sure why people making over (insert
whatever the cap is now) should get out of paying SS payroll tax for the
excess. (OK... maybe I *do* understand... there is an upper limit to SS
benefits regardless of pre-retirement income. But people in that range
should be pretty well set for life anyway, disregarding SS income. Keep
the entire system alive and well for EVERYBODY, you moneybags.)
