If you work for the gub'mint in Atlanta, you get a snow day.

But, if you're in a menial min-wage job and deal with public
transportation, you WILL be expected to report as-usual.

It also sounds like schools will be open. All those banana boat
buses will be a-slippin' and a-slidin'. With precious cargo.

I wish I had some of that "rejuvenation"....I'm getting too old for this crap.

So we "only" got about 6 inches of snow so far, but it's real fine stuff and blows and drifts like crazy. So due to having existing "ridges" along the driveway, I had probably a foot of snow in many places, and at least 6 inches in others. Grrrr. That kind of thing starts to exceed the capacity of my little mower's ability to plow. (smaller tires and blade). Was heck. Took an hour and almost 1/2 a tank of gas. Lucky I have enough gas in the can for another short plow tonight.

Took about an hour. Couldn't feel one finger very well. Came in and took a hot shower to warm up. Brrrr.

NOW/NEXT comes the sub-zero temps and "arctic air-mass" fun. Fingers crossed!

We had nine inches. I started having major anxiety at the prospect of leaving home at 7 am Wednesday morning in -50 wind chill (even in a pre-heated car) for a delightful session of chemo 40 miles away. I called the hospital as early as I could this morning, and she gave me the option of rescheduling for Friday or cancelling. I gotta get this nasty stuff done soon, so I chose to reschedule. Dumb me, I thought she would be angry with me.

Guess there are a lot of us getting hit with the frigid stuff, not nearly as bad as Mary, but still, looks like this arctic air is hitting a very wide swath across the states. Just hope everyone remains safe and keeps power!

Daughter made a humongous amount of chicken soup and sent it over via sil......I tell ya, even though dh made a huge pot, it's dwindling mighty fast. Can't seem to get enough of it!

I'm just remembering that last Monday, I didn't even want coffee or a vape, and that lasted till Thursday. Coffee and vape is starting to taste wonderfully normal again! Ya know you're sick when the thought of coffee is repulsive and vaping seems disgusting. Am I glad that's over!!

I'm sure sympathetic to those of you with those bitter cold temps. Relatively speaking, we're cold but it is tolerable.
