morning...........It is nice and warm inside but it's a very cold -6 outside. Barely above freezing in the cellar even with the furnace running a lot. I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep cause I have this irrational fear of my water freezing in the cellar. Figured it was hopeless so I just got up.

I did go try to lay down but couldn't get back to sleep. Temp is still dropping. Got -8 now.

-9 here, but you may have me beat yet.

I know what you mean about the furnace. It's on for 5 minutes, off for 5 minutes. Arrrgh. I don't want to think about what the bills will be like, but I'm sure glad it's working.

Don't want to think about how much the driveway filled up yesterday either.

Good morning Fran, Tibs, KC, snails.

Was going to use the extra time this morning to make cinnamon rolls, but decided that it wakes people up and I should be making them the night before, and putting them in the fridge and baking them in the morning. (Overnight recipe).

    P.S.
If you ran the battery down, that's not a good thing. Did it try and crank over?

If the battery is frozen, that's super dangerous, so don't mess with it. Don't charge it.

But if it is NOT frozen, charging it is a good thing as a full charge will stop it from freezing.

    Morning Kat.

What the hell are you doing trying to start the car at 5:30 in the am?

I didn't try to start it this morning. Marsha tried around 3am. I think it TRIED to turn over. Leaving it alone until weather warms up. Think that's safest, for now. Don't have anywhere to go in this crap anyway...

When's the last time the car had a new battery?

Probably 5 years, but we get it checked every 4 months. Still, I'm sure it's not equipped to stand up to this kind of weather. And the car has NO protection whatsoever from the weather.
