Ugh. "Dad Tuesday" this week because of his post-pacemaker-and-wires replacement follow-up.
It's to check the site for healing and to do a few readings of the new equipment. But he plans
to express his displeasure at "the work". The original pacemaker and his first replacement were
virtually undetectable (except for the incision scar). THIS one must be pretty close to the skin
surface because you can see the outline of the pacemaker.
One part of me wants to say that his chest appearance isn't really an issue at 89 years old. BUT,
I also see his point. Not sure what can be done about it now, except to go back under the knife.
Unless the placement is causing a potential health problem, I'm thinking it would be deemed
cosmetic and not covered by
insurance.
We'll find out. I guess. Oh boy.
