Ive heard some people say they have gotten much better performance from the autos. Looking for a general concensus before I pull the trigger. Also, how do the Gen2 Manual compare to Gen1 Manual?

lol - Just saw an awesome write-up. Feel free to delete.

+ 1 for the auto, only use manual when I over fill
Edit: should also add that I like the Gen 1 manual but the Gen 2 auto

My first kit I ordered one of each manual and auto, and mostly used the auto. I ordered a second kit for backup and now only use the manual for dripping and testing refilled cartos, since I have a tendency to overfill.

I will be ordering another set of manuals though, for dripping, clearomizers, etc. I prefer the short batteries but I'll be getting these in the standard size.

So the short batteries work well for you? Do you use a PCC? Or just not a heavy user? Considering getting a short auto and a long manual unless they restock more 78mm auto colors soon.

i dont know which i prefer. i have a manual and auto from V2 (gen 1), a bloog auto, and two volt autos (both gen 2). i got the volts because they had such a good price on the autos but i would have gotten a manual if they had the same price. i went with the bloog auto rather than their manual because the manual has a 5 second cutoff. the volt autos also have a 5 second cutoff which is kind of annoying. but all i need to do is prime it up for a second or two to relieve that.

my V2 manual has something absurd like a 15 second cutoff. ive only reached it once, and only because i was trying to. i would never normally drag for 15 straight seconds. i normally like a 6 or 7 second drag. usually 6. so, i dont care if its auto or manual most of the time. i just want a nice, uninterupted drag.

I started with the autos thinking it would be more like an analog, which it is, however when it came time to order more blank carts I also picked up a manual battery. Now days I only use the autos when all of my manuals are charging. I like the control of the manual and not having to worry about the battery when topping off the cart during the day. My experience was that it took very little time to get use to having to press the manual button. I have both the Gen. 1 and 2 and prefer the 2. Most of the time I prefer the 78mm batteries but sometimes a short manual is just the thing for stealth vaping.

same here. very happy with the latest bloog auto batteries. wish there was more marketing detail, differentiation and formal rating on the 808s. lots of good recommendations and formal testing on ecf, but i see major performance differences even within gen2 of the same form factor and mah/size.

it's based on user.

i personally prefer auto, however if i'm dripping i use manual. until i have the opportunity to pick up one of those new volt sealed auto batt's.

fyi, for drippers, you need to stay with manuals. The new "sealed" batteries only like 808 threaded stuff. They are awesome, by the way, but I was a little disappointed when my 901 atty's and adapters didn't work.

Morandir....notice the "sealed" in quotes. I've seen only one or two other posts regarding questions with the compatibility of these. One was a frantic post on the echo thread at 11:45 who was trying to take advantage of an echo "deal of the day" and she had just discovered she couldn't use her 510 ce2s. She went with an eche-e and all is good again. You are the first person I see overcome this......do tell, please? My echo post is really "floaty" and seemed really fragile. Didn't want to ruin my new toy

thanks for the tip on the lower res too....trying to get away from a supplier who sells 2.0 901s but they are just too awesome! I've played with the post...up and down, back and forth....same as if I had one that wasn't making a connection properly. Seems like you got in and opened up the airholes somehow but I'm not sure if you mean the airholes in the threads or the ones I can't see under the post.

just looked....nothing but 2.8 ohm at good prophets and no warranty on them-ouch!

looks like these echos may use a slightly different technology cause it didn't work. I had to get an unsealed one for my 901. Good to know when I need a new smaller kr style, I don't need to fear the sealed auto. Still, may be a moot point as I can't remember the last time I used an atty on the go, which is the only time I use a stick style anyway...
