I don`t get it. How is the blue foam breaking off? Is this from using a higher volt because I check mine and don`t see how it would break off.. But then I thought you don`t use filler with high volts do you? Is it getting brittle from a hot atty? What happens when it breaks off? Mine is just like the day I put it in 18 days ago.

Thanks for any answer to this in advance. :)

I think pieces flake off when you take it out and when you insert it. It took better than a month before I noticed a difference. I may be heat or just friction.

Blue u -foam for me.Seems easy to wash out and not waste as much juice between uses. The ptb or poly looks nasty when left alone for a week where as the u-foam has a quick and easy clean, spray, and stuff feel to it.I am a part time vaper so cleaning the dang thing out after a day of vaping each and every time is a concern.

Not sure if this is listed anywhere?

But mine is Nu-foam (1.5 in x 3-4 thickness 1/4in or so) fold in half twisted very tight
(idea came to me from 808 carts and how packed that filter is)
I twist it through a straw about 3-4 inches long
use a 901 cap on smoking end and a
cut in half 510 on atty end.

Straw is put through that pen with the soft grip
which I had also cut in half
half is used to hold the 901 tight on top and
half is used to hold the 510 to pen top tight

Then to dip I just pull the 510 cap off it all stays one piece above
and to refill-just remove the 901 unaltered cart

For my 510's:

A working ZFM is the best for the 510 IMO

But it can be a bit of a pain to get those working ones.

Blue Foam Filler: Normally I just use a chunk of Blue Foam cut about 1.5 times as wide as the cart opening. I keep a strand of this material and just tear off a bit (about half the length of the cart's internal reservoir) whenever I need to make a new one. No need to measure or get too overly complex on this mod, which is why I use it.

For my 401's:

I've used Kristin's straw mod with the scotchbrite pads with a bit of success (nothing else holds as much liquid and for as long as this mod).

Though, truth be told, I now drip on my 401's, since I don't vape nearly as much as I did when I started.

The Automatic Drip Mod. Or basically any variation where you have a plug at the top and juice in the bottom. I love the consistency of the vapor and improved flavor. The liquid at the bottom feeds just the right amount of juice so it's almost as good as direct dripping. And it's a piece of cake to fill. 12 drops and you're good to go. I've modified all my carts and actually carry modified carts now. As much as I hated carts, this mod gave them a purpose. I've used a PCC with empty spaces where the carts go for five months because they were worthless to me. Now, I've got carts in there filled with juice just in case. I'm a very satisfied customer!

I've been using the blue foam for like 2 months now and never noticed anything like you've mentioned in my atty or carts. I've seen it on my cutting board though as expected since i've cut it in strips while making the slug.
