I basically asked them what we, as their customers, could do from their official perspective (as it relates to their biz/products) to help them in this fight so they could continue their business & we could continue to buy their products in the long-term.

As consumers we can buy from within our local economy, promote the addition of new Vapers in that same economy, and do so with as much vigor and prowess as we can muster.

Seeing as this is a federal issue, I would define local economy for those of us in the USA as exactly that, the USA. Direct purchases from outside the USA aren't being counted towards the size of our industry, we can't forward the argument that we have created xxxx number of factory jobs, or contributed xxxx number of dollars to the economy, or generated xxxx number of additional tax revenue for money spent outside of our borders. In general I think money trumps lots of wishful thinking on our part and on the FDA's part.

We need as many voices as possible to shout down this proposed set of regulations when it all comes to a head. In terms of a voice, the threat of lost votes has a strong pull. In terms of securing our ability to maintain the status quo, reducing the population of traditional smokers and any other nicotine based product reduces tax revenue making it rather difficult to kill off a potential revenue earning industry. Show me a list of pro vaping folks I can vote for and I will, show me a list of those against and I will do everything in my power to make sure every person I know does not vote for them.

At this very moment we are a consumer base that is scared out of our wits. We do need some solid direction, maybe similar to what I suggest above, maybe something totally different, either way it needs to be organized.

It should be self evident that we need to support the industry so that it may support us. I happen to like Five Pawns Bowden's Mate, and a local B&M has it in stock, Monday I will be buying a bottle, I don't need it but I will be supporting the industry. I placed an order last night for flavors from Wizard Labs, I need some O-rings for an atty so I'm looking for an e-cig vendor with what I need and not the wickedly stocked O-ring place close by, I'm needing cotton balls too and while I hate buying them from the B&M I will, all to keep my vaping money in the industry.

Heck yeah dude. Thank you for your service to the country and your confidence that we can beat the machine

It is my Absolute Honor and Pleasure. Family has over 1700 years combined active duty service. I truly believe that if we all put our diversities and different views aside and rally in a large enough number to beat this legislation we can do it with ease hands down.

As I said before, we have beat the FDA in the past and we Can Beat Them Again This Time Around.

In my "End of the Provari" thread, it was the political clashing that got the thread closed. The point wasn't even about political bashing, and I could care less what party affiliation a certain member who voted yes or no on the bill was. I just cared THAT they voted yes or not, and did everything in my power to get everybody to see that it wasn't the point. I was trying to get people to act, but all they wanted to do was bicker about politics.

So yes, if people set aside their differences, (dem/rep), (Provari/vamo), then we will have a far greater chance at success

I missed nothing, I know it is in their supplier forum, that does not mean though that they can say anything they want in there. It is imperative that they be very careful and think about what they want to convey to you and say it in a manor that will not get them in trouble here.

Apologies if your original statement, is indeed, correct..

I had skipped over some posts in this sub-discussion of this thread & ended up missing some prior info...

No Worries at all my Friend. I skip over a lot of stuff as soon as I see anything unrelated to the topic at hand.

So Lets Support Our Vendors and Juice Geniuses and Back Them Up since they clearly have no voice abilities here!!!!

Once Again Can I get a Hoo Rah!!!!

Everyone...Chill please.

Attacking each other is not the way to go about this.

and...
CASAA is about harm reduction
CASAA - The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association
http://casaa.org/About_CASAA.html
CASAA was created as an answer to the anti-Tobacco Harm Reduction groups' efforts to ban THR products and in the belief that there is strength in our numbers.

Hoo Raah!!

Well Said Brickfollett!!!

Now.... On Topic....

A lot of people would accuse the Vendors that they are letting us do the heavy lifting by fighting for them.....

To that I say this: And You Can Quote me on it!

"If You Like Your Vendors Juice as I like the Juices made by my Favorite Vendors.... You Will Fight This Fight right along Side of them because they indeed will be looked at as having a conflict of interest whereas they have something to lose Monetarily speaking. What We have to lose is the amazing products that they have worked very hard to perfect. Therefore it truly is OUR responsibility and duty to support them in a manor that does NOT cause a conflict of interest."

Sincerely and with the Utmost Respect to all;
Nate

So...look what you started "Bear" /lol /joke

Well said. It's a team effort and I intend to help any way I can. Vegas has almost 50 real deal vape shops plus a few vendors and the few I've spoken with really don't have the total picture and understand the actual financial implications. The shop 5 minutes from my home has really good folks working their and high level product but the last figure they mentioned was 20K per juice for approval. I wish!

On the other hand, after a reasonable length of time to act and absorb, I personally see nothing wrong with "shaming them" but that's a few weeks off and requires plenty of advance notice and fair notice to act. I hope it never comes to that but I'm prepared or should I say I'm preparing.

:)

great great outfit they be
Great! Thanks for quoting Flamingo. I missed it.

DesertVapes simply posted the PBS Interview with that wild west rodeo clown, Zeller. Also this on their site:

The time to oppose these proposed regulations is coming very soon. (DesertVapes)

Vendors take note: How hard can this be?

I like the Notice Wizard labs as up

"NOTICE: 5/2/2014 - The recent news regarding proposed FDA regulations has caused a higher than normal demand resulting in increased processing times for our lab. We are currently processing orders from 4/29, and our staff has volunteered to work extra hours until the backlog is cleared. We apologize for this inconvenience. We are urging everyone concerned to refrain from panic buying at this time, and to follow casaa.org for factual information and call to action updates."

Bold mine

Of course this went up after I ordered lol on the 2nd

That is Very True, I hesitate to speculate why, but I do know some of their big names and most likely staff are in fact vapers themselves so even though it is self serving to project that image it is still good overall for us as a whole. :D
People that work hard, fight the good fight, and encounter stress often find that nicotine is helpful to them in their daily lives.
Not sure if that applies here, but it's just a simple observation.
