Hello everyone I read the tips on the board and it suggested that I post what I want to buy and I could get some pointers what I looking at right now is this
http://www.volcanoecigs.com/inferno-kit.html
i
t looks like a eGo style meaning that the threads are the same. I also understand that the eGo and the 510 have the same threads? So most of the parts will be interchangeable. I want to be able to upgrade alot in the future like most everyone my question is, is this a good kit to start out with or are there other eGo or starter kits that that are better I have looked around alot and I like the physical look of this ecig in the chrome. Also it comes with some pretty big batteries that also a plus

Any feed back is appreciated

You can get similar kits for much less.
The KGO from Hoosierecigsupply is very popular, and rightly so.
I really like my Riva 510 from Liberty Flights. $30 for the 650, $34 for the 900. Coupon code is "october20" for 20% off. No chrome option, but the titanium is pretty sweet. ;)

Yes, the kit you linked is a 510 threaded kit and is compatible with all 510 attys/cartos.

Im sorry to be a noob but what exactly is a pass through? thanks :)

The kit you linked to has a passthrough in the kit. It enables you to vape via a usb cord plugged into the computer. This one looks like you can disconnect it too and vape on the go. They're good units to have around but because you are constantly discharging the battery while it is charging up, they don't live as long as a normal battery that goes through normal discharge and recharge cycles.

I apologize for opening this can of worms. TMI maybe. Wish I hadn't said anything to confuse you. Don't let it get in the way if you really like the kit.

That does sound like a good feature to have but I don't see that I will ever be using the pass through feature just sitting there vaping while its charging I intend to just use the units strictly as batteries till there discharged then recharge them

Makes you think why they dont design these ecigs to use just the usb power and bypass the battery to avoid this charging and discharging issue if you are using them while they are plugged in.

I dont think its too much info I am a computer and electronics engineering major in college now so I love this stuff!!!!\

iknitsteel -- the problem i see with volcano products other than the lavatube is that it may have a 510 threading but if you read the warranty, if you use any products on it other than volcano products, it voids the warranty

"The warranty will be considered void if the product has been tampered with in any way, has been used with parts other than those sold and supplied by Volcano"

So if you want to try out a lot of different products, i would go with a different one (like ones the peeps above listed).

Volcano is more expensive, but it's a good, solid product. My brand of choice. Though I don't use the Inferno. I like the Magma.

But the warranty void with other parts, is something you're likely to run into with any brand, if they even offer a warranty. It's mostly, I think, just to cover their butts in the case of customer stupidity. You know what I mean? Using parts that aren't compatible and having to issue a ton of refunds for user error. One thing I suggest, pop into the forum on the site and start asking questions. They've got forum members, mods, admins, etc that are very knowledgeable on the subject.

Oh they do. They have passthroughs that have no battery. The ability to disconnect an take it with you is a good option. But you need at least two batteries to rely on. The "plug and go" passthrough types are good as a third battery backup.

Good models such as the GLV, Darwin and Provari offer substantial warranties and have no clauses about what carto or atty you use. I would definitely steer clear of any supplier that has this type of void clause in their warranty.

I'm not trying to get into an argument or anything, it's just that my personal experiences with the company have been great. I don't think one should automatically dismiss a company just because of that; they do, after all offer all of the parts any other supplier does. And I can see the reason for it, that's all I was saying. The other parts clause does not apply to outside juice, just thought that was worth throwing out there.

Honestly I won't deal with Volcano but I have a different reason besides their poor warranty...another reason I might ad.

If you want a good kit, I would click on over to Hoosier E Cig Supply and take a look at the KGO. The KGO hits harder than the eGo which is something that you may need to stay away from cigs. Also, the E-power is another good model and the batteries are cheaper to replace.

Hello iknitstell!

Figured I would chime in here on this if I may since I actually bought that exact kit a little while back.

Here is my first ECF post http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/254517-ohh-no-not-another-one.html where I talk about my vaping experiences up until that point. I talk about this exact kit and what I thought about it at the time.

Let me give you a couple of tips from what I've learned so far on that Volcano kit and vaping in general.

That kit is pretty nice for what it is. You get 2 different batts and the passthrough, a couple of atomizers and tanks if you go that route. Overall it's a good starter package BUT it has a few issues.

I went with the tank system which was OK at first but then you have to keep buying the empty tanks to fill, the tanks are kind of a hassle and they leak. For a 1st vaping experience it can be kind of a bummer. Also, the juice does not taste as good as it has a plastic type taste to it from the tanks. The tanks also were very hard to get a good pull off of, you can suck and suck and not get hardly anything. So I read and read on the Volcano forums and people were saying I was sucking to hard or not vaping right or whatever. Nope.

Volcano was good about getting me my order out and I don't regret buying it at all because it was a good learning experience for my on what I liked and what I didn't. I just kept seeing people on YouTube reviews getting clouds of vaper and talking about all this flavor from their juice and I wasn't getting any of that. So i kept researching until I found the system that works for me.

If I were you, I would go with the KGo kit people are recommending here KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit trust me, I also have this kit. I use it as my daily PV. The 1100 mAh batts are amazing. 1 lasts me all day, no problem. Plus, it's cheaper then the Volcano. Also, get some of these 2.0 ohm low resistance cartomizers (make sure you get a drip tip for these) or these eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer, Flat Tip or both! Trust me!

That's how I roll for now. KGO batt with a Mego Carto and I could not be happier with this setup! I don't have to mess around with filling the tanks up all day, no juice mess, it just works as a system (for me).

If your not sure, I've found the people on the ECF to be very helpful as well.
Another good resource to check out is ECF member pbsardo's youtube channel. pbusardo's Channel - YouTube
The man has great reviews and tutorials, I've learned a TON from watching his vids.

Either way you decide to go, welcome to vaping! It's been a sweet ride for me so far!

Thumbs up from me on the kgo and also checking out phil busardo's reviews. The guy seriously knows his stuff and his videos are really in depth.

Also don't worry about limiting yourself to a single type of threading. If you find you want to try other parts down the road most vendors carry thread adaptors which are cheap as chips.
