Smallparts want ~$40/ meter for M2, via amazon, but msc has it for around $8... Before when I was looking I could only find RC heli parts and that was $8/ 10cm. Quite some difference there.

Also when bending, be careful not to ruin the square grid nature of the mesh, I had to give up on one that got deformed by twisting that it had a diamond pattern to it that never wicked right and wouldn't 'straighten out' right either. Perhaps I should have ironed it.

Thanks asdaq :) I Wish I saw msc before I bought my parts, the prices there are really great. The stainless appears to be 18-8 A2 which is more than sufficient for what we are doing here. They have everything at msc except for the nylon nuts and washers, but for the difference in price it's worth it.

One thing about the r/c heli parts....do not buy a stainless control for for the threaded rod part. I know it's cheaper to get but is only threaded on top and bottom to attach the eyelet swivels so it would be useless for this build. Trust me, I ordered one thinking I could just cut it to what I needed and found out the hard way so hopefully this will save someone the wasted time of doing what I did on that, lol.

Here's the rod, I used M2-0.4. - Only need one, there will be alot left over for new mod builds :)

Here are the SS nuts, again M2. - I needed 10 of these

Here are the SS washers.

These are the nylon nuts.

Finally, here are the Nylon washers.
http://www.amazon.com/Nylon-Washer-..._2?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1305651768&sr=1-2

These might have been better in the bottom housing, but I have no leaks so I am not going to complain ;-)

The clear heat shrink can be bought at any electronics supply store. I got mine at radio shack for like $2. Not sure what size, but as long as it fit's over the m2 rod loosely you'll have no problem.

I'll post up the measurements of the rods once I take it apart again so anyone wanting to setup like mine will not have to do trial and error cutting :)

@ 'dan': How do you like this compared to your bottle Genisis w/ four strands, eight strands?

As far as taste, and vapor production I would have to say the same, as far as durability, hands down on my SCUBAGEN. The CE2 SS tank version does not hold up as well, have had the connector come out before (lucky I was almost empty). As far as cool factor, again the SCUBAGEN wins hands down, I like the poly tubing! Cystal clear and unbreakable, everything you like about lexan. For everyday out and about use I would use the SCUBAGEN, for at home PT use I do use the CE2 mod.
That help?

Thanks, yes, that sums it up. Did you find the multi-strands to add much performance?

I think the multi strands adds more consistancy to the vaping experiance (does not dry out as fast), but a simple flick of the wrist solves that problem.

Oh here are the nails I found, there were different sizes in there and the smallest ones fit the 1mm ID springs.

Small modifications:

1) resistance of 1.3 (and it was 2.5)
2) An enlarged Air hole from 0.5 to 0.8 mm in diameter
3) Kanthal 0.20 X 4 turns (and there was 0.16 x 4)

EDIT 18.05.2011 ad 3) no 0,20 x 4!!!! corect - 0,20 x3 =1.3 ohm

Result:

I'll just say, the effect is impossible. The repeatability of the clouds, no burning taste and taste Hybrids. Easy to refill the tank, small size and connector 510. The tank on the heater - no effect of dry wick. If anyone has the opportunity to let them do so, I sincerely recommend

Ahhh, you finally got there. I have the same except I use a hole of about 3 mm... you just direct inhale. No need to waste time sucking it into your mouth and then inhaling.

poland, and the brassy lands of google
There's a comparable tiny SS spring inside the butane valve assembly for a cheap disposable lighter, and the lowermost brass nub has a hole in the center and a groove for an o-ring where it could be cut off for a tiny disk like Dan's carto-disk. Harder to bevel, there is also a tiny alu-tack that sits above the wick that could be drilled for another disk. And the o-ring could be used to isolate the bottom of the spring. My, for the fun factor alone I may just have to give this a try. Thanks for the fresh approach Dan :)

Dan...do you think you will have any problems with rust on the spring and nail?

You could use the old model train track type spring clip connections like this too.
quick conn.jpg

I did away with the CE2 garbage completely also...this thing works great...tear it down and replace or clean in minutes....no screw connectors...can use SS or silica wick...but you need to build a box for it though. Sorry...I suck at videos....but it may give you guys some ideas....
