Don't feel bad about what you have spent there is a thread on addiction.
I have been vaping for 9 months and have spent around $7000 and just ordered the new Super 6. I promisted myself I was not gonig to buy anything else and then I saw it and just could not help myself. My husband says I have gone crazy. I don't know maybe I have. How do people keep theirselves from buying.

I think a lot of the initial extra cost is trying to find juices that you like. I am going through that process now. I have to see what types of flavors and strengths I like for which occasion. It's a lot tougher to figure out than I originally thought! Especially when you get a flavor you like from a vendor, then you have to try out other vendors to see if theirs is better!

I've spent about $1k since August, but that includes my husband's supplies, too. I've pretty much settled into my brand of liquid now - I think that was a major part of the expense. Not to mention over $200 on the original OMG kits bought at a booth at an expo (waste of money, but got us in the right direction.)

I spend the most on USB passthroughs. I must have bought 6 so far, because they keep dying on me. I do use them constantly, though.

It averages to $6.60 a day, which is about 1/2 what we would have spent on analogs at a pack a day for 2 people.

Holy ....! Thats crazy! You make me feel soooooooo much better. :D

Either way though maybe after you find your favorite juices and pv then you should try to resale a lot of the stuff you have. I mean at least resale your juice and PV's that you won't use either because you don't like them or you have something better. I mean you probably got more supplies then half the vendors out there do. So open up shop, I'll be a customer, especially if your selling a Super T or whatever its called, I want the original one, not the new one. lol

Sell some of it on the forum, give some to friends, both ways to justify spending money, and then you can try out new stuff. I've been through a few differnt models and juices, Two became a christmas presents. And one set I sold for a profit. Only a couple of bucks but it was still a better deal than you could find online. Then I bought the stuff I really wanted. Now I don't spend as much. I found the right E-Cig, still working on the perfect juice though.

I spent like $250 within a week when I first started.

This. But other than buying my Chuck & batteries, I spend like $40 a month now tops. I figure I'm at about 100ml per month, which I get for like $30/$35 from Tasty Vapor. My atomizers last me 2+ months, so that comes down to about $3 per month.

Once you learn how to stop wasting things, and stop buying crappy non-mod batteries, it gets very cheap.

I just added everything up and it comes to about $275 since I ordered my first kit on 12/20/2009. Not too bad since between my wife and me, we spent about $300 per month on analogs. And of course that includes starter kits for both of us (L2 510 for me (mistake), Vapor King PCC mini for her (just came yesterday -- I'm jealous, and she ordered pink so I wouldn't commandeer it), 5-pack of real 510 attys since both L2 ones died in a week, stuff to build myself a modest mod (should arrive today, so tired of charging those crap L2 batteries, soldering skills rusty and poor to begin with -- wish me luck), various juices/cartomizers, plus a POS kit we bought on a whim at 711 for $20 (emergency backup).

Next month should be much much cheaper. Although there are a lot of nice liquids out there I'd like to try, and I kind of want to try mixing my own, and she'll probably need at least one more VK battery and a mains charger, and I should probably get a couple of mega batts just in case my mod fails, and I'd really like a USB passthrough, and I kinda like the flavor of those cartomizers so maybe I want a VK for myself and and and....

I agree unless someone went through the smoking everywhere for $169, then njoy at around the same price, and then went with blu for more and finally got a 510, 801 or 901 ;-) But finding the right juice isn't easy because your tastebuds change. I'd say 'samples' only until after two months then buy some larger bottles and in three months figure out which flavor you could vape for eternity and buy a bunch of that. :)

Again, you're right. I think it's the toughest part, but I'm a flavor hound. My wife liked Hilton and ruyan#4 from the start and she's still there. She'll sample stuff but nothing really replaces the Hilton/ry4. I sometimes wish that was the case with me. lol.

Ok so ive been vaping for around a month now and i think ive spent a little over 375 on juice and accessories in the past three weeks!?! And i cant stop myself from thinking i need more stuff!.. 'hey i could use an extra atty or 9 (when i have 5 back ups already)' or
'hey, even tho i have about 9 different menthols now.. and havnt even broke the seal on half of them. i wonder how these 3 suppliers make there menthol, ill take em!!'...
and 'hey, i have 6 batteries already, but shhhoooot, i could use another 2 (for what? i dunno)'

so im just curios, have any of you seasoned vapers (or anyone) gone crazy shopping in the beginning? maybe still?

im just trying to justify why i spent almost 400 on things that couldve of waited a while, and say to myself 'hey, this guy did it, now i dont feel so bad  and why i didnt buy a ps3 instead :D

but dam do i love vaping!.. NO REGRETS AH!

$800 in three months. Two diff models, lots of juice, 2 pccs, 3Pts. lots of batts and attys. No mods but I want one. My excuse, stocking up for a ban.

I've got a 20 pack of atomizers, and 250ml of 48mg tobacco flavoured juice -w- PG to cut it with.

I've given all my stock batteries away and have a stock passthrough in case my Big Chuck ever goes bad. I have 4 2400mAh batteries, and that should last me a while.

If I ever get wind of a ban, I'll buy 20 more atomizers.

I'm pretty much over the flavours, sticking with 'tobacco' though as I reduce my nicotine ratio, the flavour goes with it. I'm down to vapeing 22mg fluid, started at 48 :)

Hopeing to be done with nicotine period within the next year. That said, stocking up on lots of atomizers and fluid makes sense. You can always sell it here, or sell and give to friends. The two main points for me were A: if I run out I will smoke tobacco and B: if there's a ban, I will run out. So having lots of the essentials makes sense in the peace of mind department.

And so far, I've spent slightly less in the last 5 months than I would if I had been smoking... except I'm sitting on enough supplies to vape for another year, already payed for.

When I add up what I have paid in batts I could of had a mod, which maybe is what I should have done in the first place. My prob with batt mods is they are made with cheap flashlights so when they give out under the stress of everyday constant use its $$$$ and no more vaping unless one has back up units.

It's a disease, most people here use the "stocking up for a ban" excuse.

The good news is there's a group here for that ;

PV Addicts - E-Cigarette Forum

Well when I bought my stuff the fda was in court with se and a ban was a legit threat. Now Ive cut my spending to pratically 0 and while I do want a mod prob not buying. Actually im kinda losing intrest in eni.

I have been vaping since June 09. I was quite like thinking man's wife, quite satisfied with Flue Cured, Turkish Blend, RY4 and hilton. Then something changed. I bought new equipment since mine was really worn out and I lost some of my stuff. Still my standbys were not the same. Like my taste had suddenly changed.

In the past three weeks I have spent about 500.00 looking for new faves as well as new equipment. I have found one and have more orders on the way. Hopefully I find it soon..lol I can't afford this but I CAN afford it more than smoking!
