Hey Guys,

Just got my innokin SVD at the post office today.

Been using it all morning, love the weight of this beast! So it took just short of a month to get here. R32.00 in duties, so no complaints there. Still waiting for that juice to come though!! Its surprising how efficient it is. I’m going to have to lower my nic level.

Congrats vamoman. been eyeing that one myself. looks good!

oombok,

It looks like there are only 3 options for delivery to ZAR.
"Regular Air Mail - FREE (up to 30 business days in transit)
Registered Air Mail FREE (10 to 14 days in transit typical) - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Registered Airmail via Singapore Post +$1.00 (10 to 14 days in transit typical) "

You get free registered airmail with any order over $15 so that isn't an issue. But there is a warning on the site for registered airmail free
"
Additional days are required for the following destinations:
•Russian Federation and
•North Africa
•South Africa
•South America
"
Now I personally haven't experienced it to be any slower but the 1$ upgrade option for airmail via Singapore for R 9 to 10. Why risk a delay if you are as impatient as I am....

Nice one Sven! Looks like ur ready for a mech now.
The Allen key size for the Nimbus clone is 0.9mm. The screws are crap, dissapointing in what is, in all other respects, an excellent bit of kit. Apparently they are M2 x 4mm. Gonna have a look around some old electronic bits and peices today to see if I can find some replacement phillips head screws.

Thanks Sarje,
Still waiting for my mech, should be here next week. I have a feeling my setups aren't perfect. 1.5 ohm coil on the mini DID at round 3.5volts its giving me no TH but flavour is perfect till 3rd or 4th puff, then the top leg starts. Not issues before I added juice. The cobra 2.2 ohm coil exactly the same, no TH at 4.1v 3rd or 4th puff top leg goes hot. With that being said though, I have never felt the Nic like I do on these. Makes trouble shooting interesting. hahaha

When you get your mech, you'll find it MUCH easier to sort those coils out. The pulse method works best and is by far the easiest way to sort out those hotspots. Did your airholes line up perfectly on the DID and the Cobra? Most of them don't. It makes a massive difference to the way they vape. If they don't, get yourself a peice of sandpaper on a flat surface and slowly sand the base of the caps untill they line up perfectly. Go slow and make sure you clean the threads out. Only takes a few minutes. Also check that the airholes are big enough. I drill mine out to 1.2mm. Most of them are 1mm stock.

By the way - are you running with the fill screw in or out? If it's in, try removing it and don't forget to tilt when you vape. Maybe your wick is starved of juice at the top. Also, I've just started using the SS wire rope for wick. It wicks brilliantly - no tilting and keep fill screw in. You can pick it up at your local marine shop. About R10 per meter. 1 wick of about 5cm will last you literally months if not more!

Thanks Sarje, yep going to wait for the mech to arrive. Its not a bad vape even as it is to be honest. I read that people were having problems with the hole alignment, Im lucky i guess, my cobra is spot on. The Did I have to unscrew about 2.5/3mm which is still fine. Im running both fill screw out. The holes look to be 1mm which is very airy to me still, will get used to it. Will definitely take a look at the rope. I rolled the wick with a paper clip, seems to be keeping up well with the wicking so far. We have a marine shop here in pta too will give them a call.
