they get freebies, that's why i just don't like these self titled "reviewers" and the way they work. I'd rather take the opinion of your average joe consumer ( which igetcha used to be ) who has nothing to gain or lose from their opinion.
This forum has gone from 2 great reviewers to now god knows how many self appointed specialists only in it for the pat on the back and the free starter kits.
The esccense of this forum has long gone , now it's just used for commercial gain.

apostle, i can fully understand where you are coming from.......honestly i do.
when i done my 1st ever review i always thought it was going to be a "one off". i never expected to do any more after that. but then i started getting very positive messages via this forum and youtube members asking for me to do more. so the next time i purchased an e-cig i done another, and then another. very rapidly, i started to go from recieving 10 messages a week to well over 200 a week asking for more reviews. so i kept on buying more stuff just to keep on doing reviews! eventually, it got to a point where i simply could not afford to keep buying e-cigs just so i can keep doing reviews. sure, i could have just stopped. but to be honest, i enjoy doing them. so when suppliers started to approach me with offers of "freebies" then im hardly going to say no am i. as far as im concerned everyone wins. i get stuff to review which i simply cannot afford to keep buying, viewers get an honest review to help them make a decent purchase and suppliers no doubt get extra sales. the same goes for EVERY person who does a review.
what i dont think some guys realise is just how much time goes into doing these reviews. not so much the recording, but the hundreds and hundreds of emails, PM's, forum posts and youtube messages and comments you recieve afterwards. now i cant speak for the other reviewers but for me personally i answer EVERY SINGLE MESSAGE that i recieve. yes, i could completely ignore them but i am not that kind of person.......never have been, never will be. if someone is nice and polite to me, then i will treat them with the same curtosy. i know from personal experience how annoying it is when i send someone a message or ask a question and not get a reply which is why i find it hard to ignore people.
i spend at least 4 hours a day just answering messages alone. often i find i dont even have time left in the day to record the actual reviews!
my vids are now getting over 1200 views per day and growing, so can you imagine how questions im going to be getting over the next month alone!
the biggest thing here is honesty. with my hand on my heart, i have always given my honest thoughts on the positives and negatives of a product....and will always do so. i rarely do negative reviews simply because its more time wasted. i would much rather review a product which i could say "yeah, im happy to recommend this".
now i fully appreciate that you have some sort of problem with me, and that is fair enough. you can think whatever you like, that is your opinion.
but what i really want to know is why you decided to single me out for using discount codes when the 2 "other" reviewers use them too. i think you will find that leaford even has a blog on this subject yet you chose to flame me rather than him.
fair enough, you dont respect my opinion and im sure there are others also who feel the same way. but there are also a lot of people who do respect my opinion and appreciate the amount of time i give them to help them out with advice or guidence on e-cigs. i have never self appointed myself as a reviewer.......i simply review e-cig products. suppliers obviously also respect my opinion which i why i do non review based product testing for 3 large e-cig companies.
so if you have a problem with "reviewers" giving out discount codes that save YOU money.......simply dont use them. also, instead of just starting on me i suggest you go and sl4g off the other "reviewers" that also offer the exact same discount codes for the exact same purpose as what i do.
at least be fair if you are gonna flame!
. Got mine in silver (I think it was the 2nd one sold at the time as there were 99 when I ordered it) with the brass atomisers. Just got notified that it's been dispatched, so should hopefully get it tomorrow.
