I'm not sure I believe that parents of teens are as out of touch as "the experts" think.

"He and several Drake students estimated that 60 percent of their classmates had tried the devices, that they could be purchased easily in local stores, and that they often were present at parties or when people were hanging out."

Where are these unsupervised teen parties happening? Are the parents allowing their use because the kids aren't using nicotine... are they not aware that their kids are going to parties where no one says anything about the vaping? It is hinted at that teens appear to not be using nicotine at all, but you can't expect something like that to be stated. That would make a stupid news story: "Teens blowing vapor rings with devices not called e-cigarettes, which don't have nicotine in them"

TBH this article raises more questions for me than it answers.

I found that strange the other day when I browsed the counter displays in a local convenience store and saw all these E-Hookah pens .. That what was marked on them..
It seems the people marketing this stuff have choosen a new name for them.. and of course you know who picked up on it...
They've been out for several years, easily purchased in gas stations. Until recently, they were mostly zero nicotine. The pkgs are marked accordingly. The non smokers enjoy experimenting with the zero nic, to see what the fuss is all about, without fear of addiction or tar. Smokers like the nicotine filled ones, of course.
The thought of the anti's rewriting another questionnaire without peer review is a horrible feeling.

They should just rewrite the responses to the questionnaire. They already know the answers they are looking for anyway.

I just have to say I adore all of you and all of the fantastic snark in this thread

I read once that smokers were the last hedonists... it's a known fact that smokers are always more fun to be with (all my life the non-smokers told me that, they liked hanging outside with us because of that)... now we are vapers and will most likely live longer to have a good time!!
