~~damn it..I like Sonoma wine tours..crossing them off my destinations list~~

isn't cali making it tough for ejuice makers I'd read in some article where a lot were leaving Cali for Arizona or something like that?
Cali makes it incredibly tough for any new business.
It is not friendly to new industry.

It costs 10-100 times more money if fees and lisc costs to start a new biz in CA than say Alabama.
The BOE here are straight up thieves.
(BOE: Board of Equilization.. Issues business permits, etc.)

The funny thing is my friend started vaping and her boyfriend is livid at her. He keeps saying that she is going to get cancer from vaping, and yet he was fine with her smoking illegal stuff (and he smokes it also on a daily basis).

Illegal doesn't equal cancer causing.

Maybe to get round it sellers could sell bottles of concentrated flavour to add to unflavoured liquid.
To get around this the sellers should marshal their customers and do this...
Time to lace up your best OHHELLNO boots rally the troops and fight this with everything you have.
And if they don't, part of me says they'll deserve it.

How many people have died from intake of this stuff?

Zero

How many from joose?

More than zero (regardless of the situation)

How long has this other stuff been around?

Longer than civilization.

How long has vape been around?

About a decade.

Case closed.

Let's not go there. Especially since it's the uninformed and over opinionated that usually speak up and that talk is frowned upon here.

It's absurd that they claim that they are 'protecting the children'. While I believe some of the labelling I've seen on is a bit un-needed with all these cartoony characters and icons, but hey that's the vendors choice. Instead of regulating e-juice, how about you simply shops from selling it to minors?! I'm pretty sure e-liquid isn't available to minors, so how about we crack down on shops selling contraband to minors because if they can buy eliquid underage, what stops them from buying actually dangerous substances that can be abused like alcohol or tobacco?

Now you get it.

More stupid laws, pushed on the
Public because the laws in place aren't enforced.

Selling ejuice to a minor is illegal.
Enforce this law and we don't have a problem, or a need for more useless legislation and laws

Hers a good analogy that will ruffle feathers:

It's illegal to use a gun in a crime.
Enforce the law without the need for more restrictive, useless legislation.
It's already illegal.

here here, this about nails it, simple, effective, problem solved and it doesn't affect all vaper's living in Sonoma that are actually 18 and above.

After all why should everyone suffer for e-liquids that are sold to minors, they should be given a fine or even lose their licence to sell the products. Instead of working at the problem and enforcing the law, they have just completely removed it, said OK, no flavours in e-liquids will stop them buying it, they wont be attracted by candy type vapes and want to try them, with complete disregard for those that have gave up smoking when nothing else has worked and potentially saved their lives.

A prime example Alcopops, got to be the number one thing that attracts young under age drinkers, you see it all the time, maybe they should ban bubble gum flavour vodka then.

This law is absolutely disgusting, what a bunch of lazy ignorant people.

You should call the Chamber Of Commerce and tell them that.
I think I will do that very thing myself on Monday.

It looks like Napa Valley is mostly outside of Sonoma County.
That's the good news... for now.

it would seem to me that vape marches are in order

That, and a healthy dose of civil disobedience. If enough people simply say "no" to stupid laws, through voice and/or action, eventually those making the stupid laws will lose their position. That's the very definition of a 'free country'.
Then again, there are many among us who choose to be ruled rather than governed, and they oftentimes have the bigger megaphone.

the shame and guilt dumped on smokers for the past twenty or thirty years has done a number on the psych and smokers and I suspect vapers have acquiesced to the point of going out in the cold, hiding their smoking from their kids , tolerating rude remarks and throat clearing from non smokers and being ostracized from various groups and knowing they were being mercilessly taxed to death.

now is the time to take a stand-vape loud-vape proud

I suspect a little organization is called for in Sonoma - maybe vapers choosing to buy goods and services from those who support vapers maybe I need to get an action plan together for my little neck of the woods when the sh.. hits the fan here

FWIW, Sonoma only banned the sale and that ban would only apply within city limits. I didn't read the text of the law but I would assume that there is no ban on the USE of flavored e-liquid (how would they even enforce such a ban). So there is really nothing stopping you from driving to the next city over and buy all the flavored e-liquid you want.
