I live in CA, this is very sad to hear. California has always (or is now) been a "pre-cursor" to the rest of the nation. We are a "blue" state, and while the leaders of this nation are "blue", the nation will follow California's lead. I can't even use lead bullets to hunt anymore! What the eff is that? It's California, friends. Attack the good people to stop the bad people. Great way of doing things, lol.
Oh, this is not a political thing for me, I am not trying to bring in politics(not in depth) so please nobody be mad or offended. But CA and NY are getting more and more ridiculous with their laws. I know I'll be moving away in the future, as will many good people. Because of laws like this. It's a shame, cus when it comes down to it, it's all about the money. Our health and lives will be jeopardized for BT's money. But what's new I guess....

Most of the rest of the nation laugh at California and New York, rather than follow their 'lead'. Bans on fast food drive throughs and an attempt to ban large sodas have not been followed elsewhere; some of the dark blue states, maybe, but certainly not the rest of the nation...

The proposed California tax on Zima as a distilled spirit was the death knell of that fine beverage...

Lol
The added tax was because of Zima's alcohol content, which was higher than beer.

It's death knell wasn't California's tax.
That swill tasted like flat sprite with a dash of rubbing alcohol.
It was ridiculously bad tasting stuff.
Horrible beverage.

Thats a flavor that should be banned.

I know......Zima flavored ejuice!
Any takers?

I loved it, but only the original. I think the California wine industry was probably behind the scenes, as Zima cut into sales of California produced wine coolers; kind of like e-cigs possibly taking sales from BP, who happen to be big donors to a certain party...

You, sir, are unique for sure.

I doubt the wine industry cared about Zima, as wine enthusiasts wouldn't touch the stuff.
The minority of wine drinkers that did drink Zima, were not of the Napa Valley type.

Just like Rolls Royce never cared about Trabant buyers.
Totally different customer base.
;)
