Sooo mad at myself right now - 250ml DIY Liquid Wasted

I just had to dump a 250ml bottle of freshly made 12mg Rootbeer eliquid... I want to cry right now
and kick myself for doing what I did.


When I find a flavour I like I make a big one, which I did with rootbeer BUT the recipe calculator was saying I needed 12.5 ml of the flavouring (5%)

I like the rootbeer float of flavour west and thought I had enough but it
turned out I only had 10ml left. Sooo instead of recalculating the recipe according to the flavouring I have left, I substituted 2.5ml of the dark Lorann rootbeer flavouring I have and figured it would be fine...

what a dumb idea.

I had completely forgotten that last time I tried the Lorann rootbeer flavouring that I bought at our bulk store totally does not agree with any gear I have, it makes it taste burnt every single time. I have no idea why I did not throw away that flavouring. I still tried it though figureing it might be ok considering there is only 2.5 ml in a 250ml bottle.

Within 2 min of vaping it that burnt juice taste came right up and I knew it was ruined.

That Lorann flavouring does not like to be heated AT ALL it burns within seconds in any kind of vaping gear, be cartomizers, tanks, clearomizers and what ever izer there is out there. I tried them all with this one.

I am so mad at myself right now for wasting that much... I should of know better I know I should of tried a small 5ml with both those flavours mixed together to see if they work together, but I didn't and kick myself for it now.

sorry about that but if there is a bright side, it wasn't 250ml of purchased vendor juice.

Ya what did it cost you to make that? That is equivalent to little over 8 30ml bottles @ $15 (on low end) apiece = at least $120

This is a good tip... My first batch is otw for some simple flavors... I'm really going to go slow...

Man o' man I would of literally choke my neck and swirl it in every directions if I had of use that Lorann rootbeer to enhance the taste of a vendor's mix and ruin it...

FW Root Beer Float is the only root beer flavor so far that I'll touch. It's wonderful.

Shame to hear you wasted a bunch of it...but good thing it was DIY and not 250mL of vendor juice. Only thing I can think of is to get a big bottle of that flavor and dilute it with PG/VG and then add more of the FW Root Beer Float till you can't taste the Lorann's anymore.

I swear by some of Lorann Flavorings, but personally never used the rootbeer. So Sorry to hear what happened, I would be frustrated to =(.

aww.. i did something simmilar last week. I havent poured it out yet tho.. its sitting on my desk (200ml) just laughing at my face. I was making my all day vape tobacco mix and i ran out of virginia FA. Instead of just waiting 2 days for new batch to arrive in mail i thought to myself "ill just replace the missing amount (about 25%) with tobacco express virginia instead. (Which taste like .... compared to the FA one). 200ml of 20mg juice tasting like ..... wohoo.

I should of waited too... I do have an order on the way that includes the FW rootbeer float flavouring... But you know how it goes when you want something nooooow!.. lol


I have some Apple pie by Flavour Art that could use a little more flavouring right now, 5% is not enough flavour for me after I tasted it and I ain't touching it until my bottle get here... lol
