It's a Sisyphean task, though, and I grow tired of attempting it. Ah, well, I suppose those who truly want a cig-style and -sized PV will gravitate towards 808 gear, as I did.

:)

However, people DO make it here, and that should be inspiring. I am thinking Bruner as one recent example.

Maybe we can create a schedule. "Frick, you're up today" (as we push you, both hands on the back, into the noob room) :)

Totally dig the mythological reference. And given the prejudices against KR808 you are definitely fighting an uphill battle.

That's why I don't often tread that ground. Sometimes, though I feel I just can't let misleading posts stand on their own, because those posts personally cost me in the range of $300.

Agreed; they do seem to eventually see the light, just as I have.

But no, I don't want a schedule. :)

It's nice to help educate people, but I've found that not many people want to hear about anything other than 501 and egos over in the newb section. In the end, if their other gear isn't working for them, it was their responsibility to do the research.

When I started doing my research, and didn't know anyone who had tried ecigs, I went with the two best items I could find.. Janty tank system AND a Bloog kit.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that once people start doing their research becasue they're not satisfied with other gear... they'll end up here eventually. ;)

Heh. I like that song. Cracks me up every time. Sweet Transvestite and Time Warp are my two favorites from the movie with Dammit Janet coming in third.

Although, I do have to admit that when my wife and I watched it recently I got a little bored toward the end. In my memory of the movie from my younger days it moved a lot faster.

When I got started last year, the only choices thrown around the forums were a 510, or some mod that you had to wait over a month for lol. Things have come a long way in a short time.

trichman, that is way cool. I think I may have even liked a stage production more than a movie.

You do realize that stage performances are still going on all over the place, all the time; right? It's like a cult following. If you've never been before, you're labeled a "virgin", with a big red lipstick V on your forehead. ;)

I saw Tim Curry live in Rocky Horror Show at the Roxy on Sunset way back in the day. It was great!

Trichman, that must have been fabulous. I would love to see a stage version with Tim Curry in it. I have seen the movie in several theatres and it's fun to see the different traditions and props used at each one.

My best experience was seeing the movie at a drive-in movie theatre, and this was only a few years ago. The double feature that night was Young Frankenstein and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. They didn't allow any cars to park in the first row that night so people could use that area to act out the parts, etc. Just try to imagine a large group of people doing the Time Warp (many in costume) in front of the big drive-in screen under the stars. What a wonderful sight to behold.

I think you meant to say "I would have loved to see a stage version with Tim Curry in it," right? Because I don't think it would be pretty these days.

I used to do the Rocky Horror Picture Show all the time in High School. Even dressed up a few times. SO, I got that stamped on my geek card, too. ;)

Yes, I want to see Tim Curry like he looked in the movie, in a stage version.

You dressed up like which character?
